well it's been a while, and there are some new (sad) developments. First, after a bunch of days of waiting for my OG Kush to pop it's shell off, I felt it necessary to attempt surgery. I was able to cut the husk off with relative ease, but inside it was black and dead looking. I left it to see what would happen, but nothing did, so I declared it dead. Then 3 of my Mi5's dried out while I was at work and died (gonna chalk this one up to my first time with an HID light). However the rest were able to survive and look very healthy right now. I also got my noise issue under control with some heavily insulated ducts, so now all i have to deal with is a gentle whisper which my computer fans drown out.
So without further delays, it's PICTURE TIME!
This is them on the 8th:
These are the survivors taken just moments ago:
this guy seems to be pushing the side growth rather heavily. I like this. if this trend continues, i will probably use this to make seeds
and just for comparison to the picture above, this is the plant with the next largest side growth:
This guy has some strange burn/decay/something on it, and it started as the leaf was growing in. hopefully it's nothing, i'm not too worried:
also, the plants seem to be outgrowing their containers way too fast! as you can see, the roots are starting to grow into the soil below, but when i move them to water them, whatever small roots that started growing get broken off. i didn't think this would hurt too much, but wasn't sure if i should consider putting the cups on plastic trays instead of more soil to prevent the roots from trying to grow down into the next pot.
