those boards @TxRebel/Mark just showed.
literally a couple of wago connectors and a few screws to mount the driver. nothing complicated or hard.
i literally had 0 experience with diy lighting before i built mine.
some are more work than others.
them boards are just about as plug and play as you can get with quality lighting and diy

I'm looking at getting new lights anyone rate the new mars sp250s

DEFINITELY GO KINGBRITE O ALIBABA OVER THAT MARS! U can get a double board qb like mine either with or without the red and for the Samsung lm301b diode it’s only $105 for a 250w 288 diode X 2 boards! It’s $40 shipping stateside or I paid $65 to have 2 shipped at once! I got upgraded diodes and separate heat sinks and added $20 per light and cost me $317 shipped for both! Also paid last Thursday night AMD DAMN LIGHT IS HERE A WEEK LATER! Not even 8 day turnaround from China!

Oh ya I can show u how easy it is! Literally comes all together except u attach the 2 red wires into 1 wago, the 2 black into the other and mount driver to back of 1 heatsink! Once u see how easy it is it’s just a matter of measuring and cutting 4 even length wires (2 positive and 2 negative) and u can mount driver separate to help on heat inside tent! And doesn’t cost any extra to have them put it together! It just comes boxed up lil different if it’s pre-assembled or not! Here’s how it comes.....

Assembly requires lifting these 2 tabs up....

Insert 2 black and 2 red into the 2 open channels of matching color...

Wiring u see that’s blue is the dimmer and it’s already wired and attached! Other 2 matched up with the same color and plug it in and it’s good 2 go

Incredibly easy and so worth the cost! I paid a crazy $186 on 1st to go 301h but also swapped out the 14 deep red/far red epistar for cree and cost me like unnecessary $70 upgrade! Did get em on separate switch to throw just during flower! Good luck and any LED related questions just ask!

I should mention I’m trying to stay under $300 if I do upgrade. And I’m happy to put it together myself. Does anyone have a build recommend, or a favorite video of a good build? The samsung sounds nice, how much flowering space were you covering?

I got those 2 250w lights to go into my 4x4 tent I just got recently! Same light did great in my 2x4 and got 2.25 and 5.5oz off my 1st 2 plants ever in 2x4 and in the 4x4 it’ll overlap enough to shine onto lowers on next plants over so hopefully no wimpy lower nugs going forward!

If u go same heatsinks u could get same lights I jut got for $105 each plus shipping so would 1000% be under $300 for quality light

It’s so hard to find comparison data, hoping someone with more experience can help. I have a 400w HPS in a 32”x32” tent. Issues with heat, not too bad but we are going into summer with this plant and I’m starting to wonder if I should build a light to replace my hps. Are the two comparable at all? Will my hps give me better performance as long as I can control the heat? Looking at the 4 x Citizen CLU048 3000k w/ meanwell driver build. Is this super outdated? It’s so hard to find good info. I appreciate the help! If you know an expert @420Forever mind pointing them this way?
