New Grower 3 Bears OG (Mephisto) in supersoil, 2x2x4, 300w, 1st Grow

Here is another update on the 3 bears og. She just hit 22 days today
and she is showing pistols and hairs like crazy. I really hope she stretches
a little more.

The smell is only getting better. Phresh filter should be coming in tomorrow.
Once I have everything done I'll try and get a few pics of my whole tent setup.

Thanks Man. It started to stretch everyday from weeks 4 through 6. Now she`s beginning to slow down and flower heavily.

Temps aren't really a problem for me since my room is cooled pretty quickly with a little window ac I bought a few days ago. Contrary to what people seem to advertise online, the led still gets pretty hot. Not hps warm but enough where you want some oscillating fans in there moving the hot air around. The temps in socal right now are 80-90 and with no ac my tent gets to about 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Sometimes with ac on I get as low as 74 but usually around 78-79 degrees. I do only have a pc fan running as exhaust for now. My temps should be even lower when my inline fan gets here.

I'll see if I can dig it up, but when I was doing my research for using LED vs. HID lighting, it was determined that plants grown under LED can handle slightly higher ambient Temps because the light intensity isn't as high, so the plants don't "perspire" as much and still grown just as well.. I am seeing high 80's right now in my grow box, but I have several small clip fans and a beefy exhaust set up, so I don't get too concerned.. I'd say anything above the low 90's could be problematic..

Grow coming along real well bro, subbed for the rest. have u done any plant training yet? Or is that something for a little later in the plants life? Newb question I know, but before I start my first grow middle of August wanna have as much info as possible

Well done !!! And :welcome:

:slap:

Yea that is interesting. Would be cool to test the limits to both. I am planning to stick with leds though. They are simple... and I like simple lol.

I just started training on day 27. Only was able to stake down two side branches though. Don't worry I'm a newb at training too. Kinda just winging it. It looks good to me though, she is getting tons of light now! As far as the actual height of my led, it is about as high as it can go in my tiny tent. It has been there the whole life of the plant. I'll have some pics of the tent in a bit.

Day 29! As a first time grower, I really thought this would go a lot slower. I'm always excited to check on her when I get home from work. Time is just rolling and the plant is growing nicely.

I am training two of the secondary branches with bud sites to get more light. I made little stakes myself but will probably buy some better ones. Tucking the leaves as well to expose the smaller bud sites at the bottom.

I have three fan leaves towards the bottom of the plant that are discouloured. Currently trying to figure out why it is occurring but hopefully you guys could add your input as well if you have experienced something similar.

In case anyone was wondering how high I placed my light. My tent is 4 ft tall.
