Indoor 2nd grow - Syrup

oh your using tea i thought it was just water long as there getting a food source i should let you that your ppm meters are useless with organic compounds as there not chemical salts.
also the root rot was caused by something hygrozyme is a soution to a problem you shouldnt get if o2 is high enough

i have nothing against your tea i use organic for my compost grows i cant recomend anything on an open forum that may cause other growers issues even commercial hydro organic formulas are harder to use than normal nutes due the the meter issue and cloging and only recomended to the most advanced grower and even i shy away from it.

I have been interested in the Idea of making an Aerobic environment with water beasties. Essentially growing in a highly aerated tea.
Then Spel you started it so I was like hmmm I think I'll let you take a crack at it. I have only ever used Organic growing in soil, and Sterile synthetics in Hydro.
So the thought of Organic hydro is contradiction to the fullest. Its a bacteria infested water culture, but if done right would make the smoke pretty divine I would think.
s long as you pump can keep high rate of air movement and you keep rootrot away I think it'll work with a little higher rez temps. Good luck bro I'll be observing.

Thanks Z3Ro! i agree, a very touchy subject for some reason when we start talking about organic hydro...its a question i had a few months back and basically was told that there is no point in doing organic hydro, its too difficult to maintain, chem nutes work just fine etc...

...so here i am a few months later and a lot of information read, tea a brewing. Since winter is approaching and things are cooling down, i figure it would be a good time to test the tea out as i won't have to worry so much about rez temps once the snow hits. It gets cold in these parts!

This is all new to me as well so i'm hoping for some reportable results. will keep you posted!

Good results stem from experience not the obedient application of divine methods dictated by infallible masters. I plan on getting as much experience as i can!

Bueno! Can't wait bro ^_^b

Unfortunately I know nothing of hydro. I do have to say things look great. From the pic of your last grow you def got things sorted out but I don't need to tell you that! LOL Look forward to the next photo update!

lol thanks a lot west! i have to say i am no expert and still learning a lot everyday, but thanks for the kind words...

...as for the syrup she started throwing out some pistols! Noticed them yesterday :dance2:

I wound up giving her a first taste of food 2 nights ago, ppm set at 430. I'll be switching to flower nutes next feeding and bump her up to 600 ppms, see how she takes to it... Roots are looking nice and healthy so there really is no need to start the tea in this bucket just yet. The hygrozyme is working just fine for now. When my bad bettys come in, i'll be starting all of them off with the tea all the way through. Just ordered them yesterday!

will be updating with pics next week when there is a little more to see :)

Love the DR spelsylver....looks very good! Nice to have some female growers here at AFN....

hey thanks for stopping by automan! and thank you for the compliment. She was from my first grow back in April and the smoke was nice clear strong head high with a nice body buzz...almost like a caffeinated feel to it without the jitters. Since i don't drink caffeine, it was a nice addition to my long days at the stupid office and then school in the evening. Being full time in everything, including smoking weed can become daunting. It was nice to have a nice clear head high throughout the day!

For a first plant to grow the DR sure was stinky right from the beginning. I could smell her before i even walked into my apartment building. talk about paraniod! lol

Can't wait to see how this syrup turns out. Shes the sweetest smelling plant i have in my tent right now. Here's a peak of what my tents looking like right about now, syrup in front right, qusar behind it. the big one is a cali hash plant with a baby clone next to it. all are photos except for my one and only syrup, which i'm most excited about!
