that's the standard way of making clones when you have photo. Strains you want to leave some leaves on to give them some ability to collect energy from the sun but too many leaves and they can't handle they just wilt and die off. so another way to put it, is you still have a leave on there to power the node that it's growing from. You just reduce the amount of light and energy that it's taking up and producing.

So if the top most fan leaf is blocking a bud sight. And I cut the 2 left parts of the leave right off I would be fine? Probs wont do this today but good to know for future.
I see people are posting here, no one seems to have stopped by my post, just wanted some advice, here is my post.
Can anyone help me my girl is about 48 days in and is flowering but notice some yellow patches on older and fresh leaves, not sure if it's light issues or nuits but I am using Sohum soil so not supposed to add nuits.. My pH is fine, as far as I am aware. I am getting it to between 6.5-6 8 before watering.
She is growing in Sohum Living Soil, so the idea is to not use extra nuits, she is in a 20l pot and has been in flower a couple of weeks, as I say she is at about day 49 now, and she is supposed to go for around 75days. I wonder if its water issues, as I have never trained before and many holes have gone into soil, and wondering if the water is going straight through, so I just re watered her as pot wasn't feeling particularly heavy and again water going straight through, so will wait for her to soak in the water a little longer before pour water back through, funny thing is I am having no problems with my other girl except some light nuit issues after I stupidly put some cal mag in but her tips only got burnt slightly and has been fine since.
All be it she is very stunted lol but I never trained befeo and think I started too late and she took alot of damage, but both girls are in same size pots, same medium, same water etc, only difference is the one with issues is a slower grower, so thought maybe lights too close to new growth. Both plants have taken a lot of stress tho haha
