Ive finally finished moving from arizona to california where i can legally grow my medicine! My new grow cabinet while very compact is running beautifully and will soon be full of goodness.

i just ordered the following:

1x Big Buddha - Super Automatic Sativa - Feminized for £6.33 each
2x Short Stuff - Himalaya Blue Diesel - Regular for £3.82 each
3x Flash - Purple Mazar - Regular for £2.62 each
1x Free - 2 Free Feminized Seeds (orders of £20+) for £0.00 each
-ladyburn 1974 and lemon skunk
1x Sweet - Fast Bud #2 Automatic - Feminized for £7.13 each

The total cost with shipping was around $60. assuming all goes through well and things germinate and turn out to be what i hope they are.... ill be happy!

as soon as the seeds arrive i will be germinating them and posting pics as well as my usual long winded rambling post :toke:

I have room for up to 6 plants in my grow box. its 400 actual watts of cfl in 3 square feet. im using passive hydro with whatever nutrients i can afford when i go to the one of 4 hydro stores in town tomorrow. god i love this state.

i understand things are cramp in my box. im not sure yet how many plants i will actual grow in the box this go around. im running low on bud from my last go around (gave away a good amount) so i would love to grow some quality herb. but this is also a seed run. regular as well as femminised seeds wich i have experience producing.

what do you guys and gals think i should start as soon as i get my seeds? id love love love to make some himalayan blue diesel seeds, preferably fem. considering i didnt get multiples of all strain and not all are femmed seeds what seeds should i start and what crosses?

im considering doing a hbd seed run, with the fastbud #2 and SAS (both fem) to produce smoke as well as female pollen using CS. ideas?

so pumped! :twist:

sweet nice strains :)

allright ive got some low quality pictures and some updates! things are finally starting up!

allright, this is a picture of 6 seeds that i started within the last 24 and 48 hours. one has germinated, the purple mazar. thisi s what i started:

3x regular purple mazar seeds.
2x regular Himalayan blue diesel seeds
1x feminized super automatic sativa

this is a night picture of my 99% finished grow cabinet from the front an from the side. ontop i have a bubble cloner with a single 26w light. the sound of the air pump covers up the sound of the exhaust fans in the cabinet and the light for the cloner covers up the tiny tiny tiny bit of leaked light from the cabinet. sooo stealthy! im very happy with it.

these are more low quality pictures of the inside of my cabinet. ive got 12 26w flowering cfls, and 3 exhaust fans. the air gets pulled in from the holes in the bottom. i need to put black painted pvc elbows in each of the holes to stop the tiny bit of light leakage. The hempy buckets are 2 gal containers with a hole 2 inches up. the hole has tubing attached to it so that when i water them the overflow goes through the tubing and out of the bottom of the cabinet. this way i dont havee to worry about the bottom of the cabinet rotting away.

the box is 3 square feet, but has 6 plants in it with a total of 300 watts. using the tall hempy buckets im pretty confident i can get all 6 plants to grow in such a small area. i may be adding some light outlet splitters in order to add another 100 watts. im using flora nova bloom from the beggining to the end. the hempy buckets are 1:1 coco:perlite or coco:lava rock.

hopefully i get a ratio of females to males from my regular seeds. i have soem afghan kush ryder female pollen from my last grow to make feminized seeds. ill be making more feminized seed from all 3 strains this time around. if and when i get any males ill be moving them outdoors to harvest their pollen and make some regular seeds.

tell me what you think!

first seed to germinate, cabinet lacking only fan power

so minor update, the first of 3 purple mazar's germinated and i planted it in a miniature passive hydroponic system using a 1" rez of lava rock and a 1:1 coco:lava rock media above it. this was put in a plastic shotglass and placed in the cabinet earlier today.

all of the containers are now full with a 2" resivoir of perlite and one gallon of black gold coco coir: perlite. the mixture is soooo light weight which i think makes it perfect for medical patients (this is a prototype run) who have problems with mobility and strength. I drilled a hole in each of the plant containers and placed in a vinyl tube which i sealed with 60 sec epoxy. each of these tubes was set to the perfect length for proper drainage via siphoning. the tubes go outside the box in the front. with these tubes i can see when ive poured enough water into the containers each day as it drains from the planting containers out the tubes and then outside the box, where it drains through the bottom and into a Tupperware container on the floor.

as soon as i get my 12v 2A adapter to power my 3 exhaust fans, i can close the doors of the cabinet and fix the hanging wires as well as secure all wires with epoxy.

This is the first time ive ever grown hydroponically. Im quite exited about the transition. if anyone has comments on using flora nova bloom with coco (ecspecially regarding calicium and magnesium deficiencies due to coco's affinity for both ions) please let me know. Any advice on using epsom salt once/if a deficiency does occur?

the super automatic sativa feminized by big buddah has germinated as has one of the himalayan blue diesels. they are but one of the purple mazars to take longer than 24 hours to germinate. I wish i had a larger pool of seeds to select from to start my breeding operation. the seeds that result from this seed run however, should allow me to select the perfect phenotypes i need to make them marketable.

thanks for the comments!

update, all but one purple mazar has germinated and all but one himalayan blue diesel has broken through the coco:perlite mix in the small shot glass cups i have them getting established in.

ive heard that autoflowers dont take kindly to transplanting but this being my first hydro run ever, i was afraid to risk them dryinh out while still so small. hopefully in the next day or two ill be able to post the pictures of each plant having opened up and starting on its first true set of leafs. woooo!

They will be ok. Another member hand waters his seedling in hydro until the roots drop into the solution.

Love the cab! I am an organic soil guy so i am not much help with advice for you! But i'll be in for updates..Offer advice when i can.

Good luck with them mate.

so my seedlings are upsetting me...

ive lost a purple mazar and (devastating) my SAS. they both died when the seed shell was breaking to reveal the cotyledons. im not sure what could have caused this. are they too moist? ive got a perlite rez and a 1:1 coco:perlite media which they are in. i haven't seen any bugs but it is plausible they are the culprits. its been very hot here lately so temps may be hitting the low 90's (thermometer needs a battery, tomorrow), could this be the problem?

the root is breaking off from the seed coat right where they come in contact. ideas?
