New Grower 2nd Grow: Anvil, Sour Stomper, CDLC // MH SP3000 // BioALL Org. Soil

Hmm. These girls were growing like gang busters, and last night I switched them from 24/0 to 20/4, about a week after sprout, as I’d planned. Then today they’re not happy.

Could that downturn be from the light change? Or from the accompanying 10-degree temp drop?

It’s not from overwatering. She was last watered on Tuesday, so if anything she needs a drink, but had it not been for this drooping I would have waited to water tomorrow. She doesn’t feel quite ready.

They’re in the light again, so we’ll see if that gets her to stretch back out.

adjusting id say, still looks good to me

The girls are looking pretty good on Day 9. They got spring water with Fishsh!t, Recharge and yucca powder today, and I lowered the lights from 36” to 32”. I still haven’t adjusted PH at all from the 6.7/6.8 that comes out of the mountain. We’ll see how they respond.

My Sour Stomper is the little one in the five-gallon pot. She popped a day later, and she’s growing more slowly than the others as well. It’ll be interesting to see how she progresses.

I’m surprised at the solo cup grows. I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing with those, other than watering them when I think it makes sense. I don’t know if I have enough drainage in them — I just poked like six holes in the bottoms of each cup. We shall see how they progress as well.

They look great!

Edit: Feels good to not have to check the silly ph every watering don't it?

Looking good man! I think you'll be fine with that water. As low as the tds is, it will almost immediately adjust to the pH of the soil on contact. And - it's largely within range anyway. HTH, IMHO, YMMV, etc.

Thanks! And I did not know that. Very good to know.

A little Day 14 update. I think my light was a bit too strong so I used the Photone app and have it right around 600 PPMD now. I know that app isn't perfect, but it's apparently pretty decent, and the girls look better since yesterday when I decreased the light yesterday. I took some pics outside today to get accurate colors.

Anvil is going pretty strong so far.

Sour Stomper is slow and perhaps a runt. She did pop a day later than the others (so is really on Day 13), but still. She seems to be picking up a little steam finally.

And finally, Creme de la Chem, which is probably my most vigorous plant at this point. She's pretty big already and seems to be growing quickly. The sort of wrinkling on these leaves is what makes me think my light was too strong. This started happening when I lowered the lights. We'll see if my adjustment helps.

Will likely do some initial LST before I leave for TAC next week.

And finally, the solo cup grows. The CDLC on the left in this upcoming pic -- which was taken under my LED so the leaves look way lighter than they are -- is almost as big as the sour stomper in the 5 gallon pot.
