New Grower 2nd Grow: Anvil, Sour Stomper, CDLC // MH SP3000 // BioALL Org. Soil

Very bushy girls
Yeah, I’m not having much luck opening them up at this point. Mostly just tucking these huge fan leaves when I can.

No worries, the bush is back these days

I'm back from The Autoflower Cup 2021 and my little ones did well while I was gone. It's Day 26 and both Mephisto cultivars are in early flower and doing pretty great. My Anvil is also doing really well, though she's not quite in flower yet, which is of course just fine. A little look at the girls. I tried o get better light than I get under that LED, which makes them look too light. Perhaps these look a bit darker than they really are. To my eyes, they have good color. (Hey @mwilliams2006 -- another cool idea for a future TAC could be a session called "Getting better photos of your autos with your phone.")

ANVIL

My goodness was she bushy. Here she was before I did anything to her.

And here she is after I removed some lower fans for airflow and opened her up, partially with the help of these great benders my daughter's boyfriend 3D printed for me.

She handled my aggressive feeding better than the Mephisto plants did.

Sour Stomper
She was a little behind the others in the first week, but she was just pacing herself, because she's pretty well caught up now. First the before pics:

I had my helper push their nutes a bit while I was gone, and I singed this one's tips just a bit, but that's fine. My intention with this grow is to be more aggressive than the first time. I found the limit, and that helps me learn to fertigate more effectively. Here she is after I opened her up and tied her down. She's just starting to flower.

Creme de la Chem

Last but not least, this CDLC is also doing well, and man is she a thirsty one. Here she is as I came home to her:

In that pic, you can s a few smudges on the big lower leaf. It rubbed off, so I think it's perhaps a bit of mold forming, or maybe it was just from splashing during fertigation? I was able to rub it off a bit. I removed the couple of leaves that had this, and now there is way better airflow in the tent in general, so hopefully I've sorted that issue. By all means chime in if anyone is seeing something else here.

And after I defoliated some of the massive lower fans and opener her with those bendies and a bit of wire:

Her tips are probably the most singed, but they're not too bad. I'm not worried about it at all.

I'm sure there are a lot of things I could do more effectively, but I'm definitely in a better place at Day 26 than I was in my first grow, and that's what's important to me. I credit it to better genetics, better soil, and more experience.

Here's where I'm journaling this second grow you asked about, @mamasweets.

Some random pics to accompany this update.

A nice fan on the Anvil:

Another nice fan, on the CDLC:

This is how many fans I took off of all of them combined:

And all of them together. Not sure the solo cup grow on the right will make it, but I'll keep trying. This tent is going to fill the fuck up with these plants, unless I jack something up. I'm adding my third fan and repositioning them this evening. I hate the way these Hurricane fans clip onto poles. One day I'll upgrade to fans that oscillate and clip on better. Like these, which are just a way better design IMO.

The girls on Day 19. From left to right in the 5-gallon pots: Sour Stomper, Anvil, CDLC. Can’t believe how big the leaves on the CDLC are. That plant is really big and ready for food. Tomorrow they get their first Megacrop.

The solo cup grows are struggling a bit. We’ll see how that turns out. One thing I noticed is that the one cup that has BioALL soil in it retains water a LOT longer than the Fox Farm in the other two cups. That biochar at work, I believe.
Good looking plants mate, I'm also growing anvil
