Hi bif.
I have just made an air filter for my cupboard door. It uses 3x pc fans and a cooker hood carbon filter sponge. it is titled "cupboard lowryder grow" it is very similar to what you describe except it only has fans on the inside

I have only had it a day but it seems pretty good. Airflow out is reduced but i can feel it pulling the heat out. My temperatures have stayed pretty much the same and it stops light escaping through the fan holes

A small update for y'all. Been very busy with work so this is the 1st chance I have had.

I had a look at your filter on your thread and it's just the sort of thing I want to have.

Don't know if I will need the filter for this grow however, I am due to go away for a week this coming Saturday, so she will need to be chopped this Friday as there will be no one to look after her.

I would have preferred to leave her another 2 - 3 weeks to allow my buds to get fatter but the situation won't allow.

The plant herself has been doing OK but the last 2 days I have noticed some issues with the leaves starting to fade and some are a bit burnt.
Gave her a good flush through this morning and will just be using plain water for the rest of this week before I chop.

Shame you have to cut and run but you gotta do what you gotta do. I would leave it as long as you possibly can though. How old are they?

At least If you chop just before you go away you won't be able to pick bits off until you get back and it's fully dried out. I did that in July

Don't forget to read up on drying and curing. It really does make a big difference if done correctly.

If it were me I'd just give her a good watering right before I left and take my chances. She might dry out some in a week, but it shouldn't be too bad.
