I have given her some feed of black treacle and some tomato plant food over the last week, she seems to have liked them both, bud sites are fattening up and plenty of nice crystals forming.
I took about a Tablespoon of treacle and slowly added warm water to it until it was watery and no longer that gooey mess. Just used a coffee cup for that part.
Then that treaclewater just got added to my normal amount of water, normally about 800ml/1ltr.
From what I have read the properties of black treacle and molasses are very similar and my plant gobbled it up with no ill effect.
My main worry for today is that I think the plant may be a hermy, here's the
best shots i could get of the parts that are making me worry. I think I'm seeing
bollocks there.
Keeping my fingers crossed that I'm just being para!
I know what ya mean about being nervous w/hermies. But for the most part, auto's, when breed correctly, wont herm. Well, I guess that's true with all the ganja types...
Well she really seems to like treacle, the buds have really had a wee burst of fattening up.
Now starting to give of a slight smell, you still need to be pretty close to her to smell anything though.
Will need to get around to making my carbon filter soon.
My plan is to have 2 fans with active carbon between them, 1 fan is inside the case, the other fan with the carbon section, outside. Basically one of the fans is sucking air from inside the case and pushing that air into the carbon section and the other fan is sucking the air through the carbon section.
Any feedback on the filter idea is well appreciated.
she's lookin really nice bif. i was waiting to see how the treacle worked for you, glad to hear she liked it. handy info. the fan system sounds good to me, although they work better pushing through the carbon, i kinda get what it is youre trying to do. the lst'ing looks like it worked really well for you, well done man
She's flowering really nicely now. :smoke: I think the filter should work OK, but you won't know for sure until you get it running. I played around a little with the DIY filters and I found that you have to get the right balance of airflow. You need enough to vent your space properly, but if you push air too fast through the filter, it won't be able to remove all the smell. You'll get it sorted, but I wouldn't wait until the smell is getting really strong to make sure you have time to tweak things.
