U can't ever have too much perilite. The deal is. Perilite doesn't hold nutes or moisture lime a common growing medium buffer would have. You can go the hempy method. That includes a basic dwc system filled with perilite to the brim... or. You could go soil which includes 50% perilite possibly. Or take your chances with anything but perilite. The choice is yours. Only you will know what works for you.... I personally am prolly about to switch to hempy style dwc prolly. Grow and learn.... live and learn....

i've been wanting to do a hempy style in dwc also, my only concern is i don't think i could get a big enough volume container in the PC case and i don't want a pump running outside, so that idea is on the backburner for the next few months

Improvise on the container. Just about any square or rectangular container will work. Why no pump? All u need is air pump. Air stone hose container and perilite. Absolute control... buwhaha

my problem with the pump is the noise, outside i have to be silent as my neighbors back fence is my garage fence, i live in a unit
if i had a dwc it would have to be inside... i might wait until i have a cabinet big enough to put a single 5 gal bucket with a 6" net pot in to

yeah i have a feeling i have slightly over done it lately for this girl, i won't be watering it for the next 4 days until friday at the very least, my photo girl that didn't get watered for a week loved it when i did that, she shot up 2+inches in one night after that so i'll do it with this little girl also
