hey there folks, I'm a new member here and this is my first Autoflower grow in a PC case

i germinated and sprouted the seed on the 29/09/2011 and today is day 3 of the seedling

here are some details of the current set up:

in some generic organic potting soil mixed 50:50 with perlite no nutrients added no time release

currently potted in an 8oz party cup, will be transplanted into a pot soon

currently it is growing under an LED desklamp because the adapters for my lights in the pc case didn't arrive yet so i haven't got the lights up yet in there, no matter, i grew my first photos under led like this and they're doing ok so far

well aside from that, i have 2 140mm pc fans wired at the back of the case for exhaust and i have an 80mm pc fan which will provide circulation inside the case, the intake will be passive through the front of the case

current temps in the case are 64-68f and 40-50% humidity

this will obviously change when the lights turn on, but should still be good

Welcome to AFN and to the New Growers Forum, glad to have you. I'm Muddy and along with Joe Dirt, we moderate this forum. Let us know if we can be of any help.

Looks like a nice little setup you're got for yourself. What kind of light will be in the case, you didn't say? I'd also be interested to know what kind of soil you will be using when you transplant. Knowing the details of what you're using will be useful should you run into any issues. If you can temporarily put a regular incondescent light in there till yours arrives, it would raise the temp for you. 60s are a little cold for seedlings. They like it warm and moist.

Again, welcome. We'll be looking forward to watching your grow.

hey guys

sorry i didn't put my lights up yet

i have 2x 23w 2700k CFL, 2x 20w 5000k CFL and if i need some more lighting i can put a couple of cfl's at ground level later on if necessary

the soil is a generic hardware store organic potting soil, i can't really be much more specific than that i think i have a photo of the bag in an overall shot of my cabinet somewhere, but i have augmented it with 50% perlite for drainage and aeration

i'll be flowering these in 1L pots

i've decided temperatures need to increase in there so i've just gone in and hot glued the powerboard upright temporarily to just have the one light on in there to ensure it doesn't fall over but provides some much needed heat as well as some extra lumens

i've also turned the fans on to see what the temperatures will be like in there, although there is another three CFL's to go in there, it would be nice to see what the difference is between 1, 2, 3 or 4 cfls in my case

so anyway, enjoy the pics, the second sprouting seed is a bagseed i'll grow alongside the skunk berry just vegging and lsting it around the box before the ASB finishes
