New Grower 1st grow: Indoor / 90W + 15W LED / Soil / Sweet Tooth auto

Lol up you lights to 20/4 that extra 2 hours give you some bulk. I had mine on cfls. Did 18/6 with mine to start. Then when I upped it to 20/4 they took off.

From what I understand autos crave sun more than any other cannabis. This is because they work so fast. It has been noted of a number of forums and threads the advantage of a 24hr light schedule. My next grow I'm doing will be started on 18/6 for 14 days then 20/4 for 14 days then 28 days full 24hr. After that's I'll drop to 20/4 again to finnish. I found the end of STA to be very hard to predict. As my plant went purple from cold.

Total seed to harvest time 73 days should have gone at least 80.

there are many different opinions on light schedule... i ran 20/4 when i did my Sweet tooth.. BUT that was with hps..

now that i did a led grow, like you, i was told that 18/6 was most prefered... "My 2 cents" and so i did, with good results, (check sign)

24hr light schedule is often done by the breeders to check if it really does auto.

You know what, I think I will up it to 20/4 right now. I have thought about it a few times actually. The reason I ran 18/6 was in part due to save some watts you know, and also to make sure I didn't stress the ladies too much. I have read here and there, that it's important for the them to ease off now and then. But I have also read the opposite when it comes to autos. Heck with it, 20/4 it is from now on

And now I'm in doubt again. Geeeeez. There is indeed a lot of different opinions on light schedules for autos. But you have some neat results with 18/6 on LED? Well, hmmm.. *head explodes*

Maybe I should just up it to 19/5 and grow some Think Different instead, huh

Love the ambition here. I swear I learn something in almost everythread and rhats what makes the grow so much better for all of us. Good job dude.

Its interesting how different light sources are producing such results.

Never heard of leds being any good yet. But then again it was over a year or so ago since I looked.

I went for cfl due to being close to hand and easy to replace.

Personally I would go with what your plants are telling you. If you up it and your plants like the extra light go for it.

That's some nice looking buds right there, my friend :Sharing One:And that GN looks like a beast. I've read a few docs on 1 watt LED vs 3 watt LED. If you want to go deep into LED, then I think this article is interesting: http://www.myhydroponicgardening.co...e-to-led-grow-lights-1w-versus-3w-and-higher/

Peace mayn :peace:

Exactly, I think it's as great a virtue to make a log of FAIL, than one of success. Because other people can learn what not to do.

My major concern with this whole project is that it's supposed to end up costing less than buying cannabis at the local weed market where a strain like white widow or orange haze goes for about 6-7€ per gram. So I try to keep all the expenses down to a minimum. It has to pay off and be worthwhile, you know.

Also, if you haven't seen any successful LED grows, then you must be living on another planet than me, dude, because NASA have had success with grow LED since the 80s/90s, and all the garden centers where I come from, are changing to LED these days with great success.

I managed to take a photo of the ladies before "sunrise" in pure CFL light today. And now I'm pretty sure that what I saw yesterday, wasn't bud forming, but just another node of leaves coming to life..
