New Grower 1st grow: Indoor / 90W + 15W LED / Soil / Sweet Tooth auto

Hi all,

I'm on day 36 now, but here's a quick resum�.

Strain:

Barney's Farm: Sweet Tooth auto (yield: up to 200 grams per plant)

Enviroment




Temperature: 22C-24C.

PH value: 6-7

rH: 40% - 70%

Lumens: ~4000

Soil: Leaf mould / leca nuts / perlite

Nutes: Substral

Air cleaning plants: English ivy & Dumb Cane Camilla

Gear



1x 90/100W grow LED UFO @ Blue 450-460nm, Red 620-630nm (35QQPT)

1x 15W grow LED @ Red 610-660nm, Blue 460nm

1x Konig 140W humidifier

1x Weather station

1x Surveillance cam

1x Tabletop fan

This all takes place in a very dry basement (rH 15-20%) that I keep in check with a humidifer.

The current setup:



I had all the numbers wrong for the first 20 days. Poor measuring equipment, bad water, wrong temps, wrong humidity. I'm surprised they survived that onslaught, but I guess cannabis has some hardcore ladies. Just like humans.

Let's take it from the top.

Day 1-20:



I had a very simple setup to begin with, and only a single 15W lamp (after a 12W stopped working). They grew and grew, but slowly, and sort of stagnated. I coupled them with a CFL grow bulb for a lil while..

Here from day 17.. They look like day 10 plants here, in my mind.



So a few days later, I decided to upgrade to a 90W UFO.



Then they took off.. And a week later, they looked like this..



And a few days after that..



That bucket was beginning to get crowded, so I decided to repot them on..

Day 34:



They have grown a bit since then.. And now I'm on day 36.



I'll keep you posted on how things are going, but I do suspect my next grow to be more succesful, given that I messed up the ladies for the first ~20 days in all possible manners.

By the way. I've heard that Barney's Farm Sweet Tooth autos does not auto. Anyone knows if these are supposed to be flowering at this stage (day 36 / week 5)? Because then I may have to switch to 12/12.

alittle hard to see if you got any pre-flowers right... try to take pictures out of the light..easyer to see then "My 2 cents"

as for the yield...your spot on, they can yield 200 g pr. plant.. i got 209 and 208 from mines or something.. both over 200 "pher Wiggle"

Hey RebelRoy, that was some great input! Thanks! ..It's quite comforting to hear that they flower a bit late, but also a tad devastating to see how your ladies looked at day 30+ in your report. Very nice grow! I guess you did it all right from the beginning :smoke:

I will see if I can take a photo in pure CFL light tomorrow!

I did everything wrong for the first 22 days, so they have had miserable conditions for most of their life so far. It's incredible how different those three have turned out, tho. One is quite small, one is medium and bushy, the last one is twice the size of the first two, especially in height. I think she has been stretching a bit for the 15W LED that didn't deliver enough light. It all turned around once I got that UFO, but I think it was 22 days too late. Those poor girls.

But again, thanks a lot for your input, I was quite worried about the auto part, because a lot of people say that they don't auto. But I guess they do anyway, huh. Pretty cool grow you had there.. 200+ grams, yikes! :thumbs:

ye i remember some talk about them not auto them self..but never seen it if i remember right.

and yea..for the size dif.. she is going on diferent phenos it seems like.. one of mine was like 1.30cm while the other around 80-90 cm. lol ^^

Thanks man, I doubt that any of mine will be 130cm tho, I would be satisfied with half your yield due to the poor upbringing my girls have had.. But I will sure keep an eye on things..



Nerdy, I know. But it's sort of comforting to be able to check your grow status from anywhere. Those are live images from my growroom cam on my phone

Hey dude just thought I'd pop in and have a read. Well I do believe I had pre flowers on my first STA at 17 days. The other 2 I haven't planted yet, although it once pre flowers started it only took 2-3 days before full flower hit.

May I ask what's your light schedule set at.

Oh yea, you may indeed. I totally forgot about that.. They're on a 18/6 schedule and have been so all along. But if this thread is a lesson to anyone, then it's a lesson in the direction that a 15W LED, with 15% humidity, a PH value @ 8-9 and too low temps, won't suffice for the first 20 days. Glad to have you aboard, tho :dance2:
