Yes its certainly a luxury to be able to do this, but its about all that I indulge myself with besides new fishing gear.

I don't really want to spend $1K on a DSLR Nikkor macro lense. Well I would spend it if I was loaded. But since I'm not loaded in that sense, I'm trying to do macro on the cheap. The first phone cam macro lens I got cost about $5. I have an even better one at $20 coming in a couple of days just to see if it's worth splurging more.

This is the $5 entry level lens on my samsung shot by a professional amateur. Little flower from a GWK day 37. Very narrow depth of field that's for darn sure.

Well journal to myself time. This crowd is tough to please I'm telling ya. I love the GWK genetics. So very little leaf footprint and therefore hardly any training required. Almost need to make some training up if you're bored or have a muscle memory where you feel you have to train it no matter what. That was me when I super cropped 2 of them but otherwise left them alone. I was just out tucking leaves before bed and just like every night I don't even have to touch the Grape Walker Kush. I like that about the Orange Diesel too.

When plants have such a small need to produce leaf but can still produce a lot of flowers its a winner right there. I've not even got to the good parts yet.

Sounds very similar to my sour stomper. It’s going to be a pleasure to trim. Hacked down a 59 day old sour crack last night. Biatch to trim with my tiny scissors.

I am definitely keeping track of leaf to bud ratios on strains. Not all are going to be perfect etc which is fine and to be expected. I just like to have couple in each grow that are good like that so it makes it easier.

Starting my first all Mephisto grow. The last one included MG and Dutch Passion and Dinafem and Sweet Seeds and I found MG were the stronger genetics in that the flowers developed faster and had more trichomes. The others were too slow in comparison. I remember around day 50 the MGs were looking big and chunky and farther ahead by a mile and the others were just barely flowering. I'm pretty sure it was genetics that were behind that not environmental variance. But hey nothing is ever that simple.

I also put my autopots on the shelf and will be growing in 1g regular pots. Hoping the smaller size means shorter cycle duration. I really want to do fast grows from now on so that's my focus. MG beans + small pots = more great product over time.

  • 3 GWK, 3 CDLC, 2 Sour Crinkle and 2 Grapey Walters.
  • Coco
  • RO water.
  • Nutes are Green Leaf MC, SC, CMP and BE plus some Tribus microbes.
  • Temp and RH will follow the VPD chart sweet spots.
  • 24 hour lighting. Lights are 1 600w HPS (use it for heat in the winter, but not in summer) and 8 Autocobs.
  • Pots are on insulation foam board, heat mats and cork flooring planks for now. Got to keep those roots warm.

Not sure about topping and LST yet. I need to get a plan together for what is best for these strains. If anyone has some suggestions please let me know. I have never grown any of these before.

Here they are. They are a little behind right now because I had a hard time dialing in heat in the first week (it was cold) but I'm hoping they catch up and its won't matter in the end. This is day 10. And @slowandeasy I know they are behind so you don't have to mention it! :smoking:

Its an 8x8 tent so its like 4 of your usual 4x4 tents in one tent and it has poles on the side walls to keep it stable.
