Thanks fullauto. Yea the reflector is a turkey pan. I will try to cut the jiffy pot bottom out later today, as I heard if you don't it may stunt the plant a good bit.

Problem? one leaf has got a lil brown towards the tip. Any ideas why. Is it because i transplanted into pcean forest too early.

It could be the ffof but not sure. I have my 10 day old pineapples in ffof and they look happy with no troubles. I've heard some do have problems with it on seedlings. How much and often do you water?Did you add any nutes?

I haven't added any nutes I was watering it every other day while it was in the jiffy pot alone. When I transplanted I soaked the ffof till a good bit of runoff and haven't watered since. Are there any remedies for them after being burnt by soil.

I'm thinking it's the hot soil as well. You can't really flush the ferts out like liquid ferts when you give them to much. Just give it plain pH adjusted water when the pot feels light.

Plant looks good. One ?though. I check my waters ph before I water her and its 6.7. But when I check the runoff after watering it is 5.5. Is this a problem.

By chance did you check your soils actual ph level before planting? 5.5 isn't terrible for runoff but would be better in low 6's. I had this problem early in my cobra grow my runoff was low 5's to high 4's turned out my foxfarm happyfrog soil had actual ph of 4.5. I ended up taking a chance in week 3 of growth and transplanted into foxfarm ocean forest soil which read at 6.7 soil ph and they turned around within a week. Do you have any ph up solution? You could use the ph up solution to adjust your in water to 7.5 which should make your runoff water low 6ish ph or real close. I know there's other ways to raise and lower water ph(lemon juice, baking soda) but don't know whyich one does which. I'm sure one of the other guys will offer some advice,i think your ok right now if the plant looks good but they'll tell you how to tweak it to make it perfect.

Thanks fa I'm a lil confused cause I tested the soil ph and its 6.7 so I'm hoping I should be ok. Also I need get a accurate ph tester for relativley cheap any suggestions.

I got a milwaukee off amazon for mid $30's range, seems to work pretty good,i check it against the calibration solution at every use to make sure it stays calibrated.Make sure whatever you get that you get calibration solution at the same time. What did you test your soil ph with? If your soil is 6.7 thats pretty good.I had one good bag of ffof that tested at 6.7 and the 2 new bags i got came in at 4.5 and 5.5-lime time.I didn't ask before but are you addin nutes to the water? If so check water ph after you add them and adjust before you water.
