Autoflowers and how they Reflower. Similar to reveg

Photos and autos have completely different flowering mechanisms and life spans. Autos do everything according to aa internal clock, that includes finishing. Photos are much more flexible in that you can keep one indefinitely for 50+yrs if you wanted because nothing is on a timer. You can’t reverse the clock on an auto, but you can manipulate stages back and forth with photoperiod strains.

You just can’t compare the two and why they behave certain ways when they have completely different mechanisms telling them when to do what.

Actually, they’ve recently discovered 2 genes that cause the autoflowering event, and they are actually broken genes that would regulate a photoperiod. There is no internal clock like we always thought there was. . The same mechanisms that allow us to reveg a photoperiod would seem to be being triggered by the manipulations that appear to work with autos. Ohh and I had an auto reveg not long ago, I have absolutely no idea why it did. I had a stump with two little buds on it at the base, that’s all I left, and with no intention of attempting a reveg. I didn’t reveg a second time though. My guess is that there another or multiple other genes/mechanisms involved we don’t actually know bout yet

Oh I absolutely agree, and I didn’t know that about the broken machanisms. But I still think comparing autos and photos and how and why they behave certain ways like apple to oranges. Or at least apple to quinces lol or crab apples

Yeah, I was just trying to stimulate some thoughts.

A reveg and this reflower are different. This reflower makes an auto work its ass off on its death bed and there is no new cycle. Neither flower or veg. Its just a weak extended flower cycle.

Due to all the genetic scrambling in modern cannabis, plus the auto and photo scrambling, freak autos do appear from time to time. You arent the first person to reveg an auto but its not the norm.

The reason it works for photos and not autos, is because photoperiod hormones are controlled by the light schedule. Meaning the grower can easily control which cycle of hormones the plant is under. Autos are on that genetic clock that has control.

You can always argue all you want. Fact is what I said. Never said I was only person who but none knows what I do. And yes it’s two full cycles and more.

Time never had an effect. Autoflower are controlled by light intensity. This is how and why they flower. To control flower you manipulate the intensity. Giving control over when begins. As Autoflower grows if intensity is always better for the plant she will keep growing. If light becomes perfect with no intensity gain then flower begins.

I wanted to say I’ve been offended by nothing said. Definitely defensive in my response but no hard feelings.

So I’ll just continue with some photos of all the documented Reflowers. Not as many as I’d like but just got started back. Last run had a light go out but I went ahead on. None had normal flower they were all affected. I did go ahead and Reflower them all though.

The next up will be one that was grown in 24 lightning with no rest. It stressed one but not the other I grew. Anyway it got a transitional harvest and was first one I fully documented. It was given no nutrients in the second round. So consider this a minimum harvest.

This is the new buds forming after first harvest.

This was the selective harvest. Sorry there’s not more photos of harvested buds I mainly took videos. But after I started it took just about 8 weeks for next buds to finish.

These were in between harvest and buds where taken. These show the start of reflower.

These are the in between.

These were taken at the end just before final harvest. I was done with the formation and started my next run.

So this next grow i was experimenting with. Let’s look at some of the things I learned. First was how long I had before signal came. I was pretty sure when but need to verify. So one got sacrificed. Second was if light cycle had anything to do with it.

Findings was the signal is confirmed sent at what I believe is called scientific optimal. I found out that setup is confirmed to be connected to the different stages of growth veg/flower. This also showed that work in the veg zone is done at night. That when stressed and forced she pulled energy from leaves stored only in veg growth to setup for Reflower. So veg is never on same feeding schedule and all work is intended to be done at night.

To start I’ll show what the signal does and that’s basically instant. And there’s quite a few so let’s get to the yellowing leaves.

Each leaf was only taken from veg. None from Flower growth.

Last was I confirmed veg to flower another way. This time all buds are harvested and only veg growth is left. No buds only a few leaves.

Photos show transition and first week.
