Live Stoners Australian Growers Thread

Hi Everyone, long time grower in the ACT. I have only grown autos for a couple of years but have been impressed by the improving quality - I'm excited! The attached pics are from three that were outside but spent a few weeks in a greenhouse when the rain came. 20201226_000812.jpg20201226_113628.jpg20201222_145355.jpg20201222_145414.jpg
I somehow lost the pics of the plants :D

Cheers,

hey guys, im in SE QLD here - as anybody else in the region is aware, its been 80% overcast days here for the last month. I'm growing an autoduck outdoor which is supposed to be resistant to a lot of pests and mould - but im more so worried about the average sunlight my plants would have been getting for the latter half of their life.

I suppose theres not much I can do about it - but how detrimental is overcast lighting to overall plant development?

@Merl I planted a guerrilla grow Jedi Kush out in secret spot on the Sunshine Coast, Hinterland, the soil seemed pretty good and it got sun most of the day, I also mixed some perlite and mica into the soil and drove about 1000km over the past two months watering it and applying GH nutes. Indoors I'd expect about 8 ozs. What I ended up with was a final dried weight of a half a gram.
It was a top quality half gram, but a half gram nonetheless. Here's a shot of my current jedi kush (same bean packet) at 12 days. IMG_1640.jpeg

It's mushroom season in QLD, and what better way to dry them than on the back of my QB96 Elites while they're only at 50W.

Did a pretty good job too, this is the largest shroom in the shot after one day. JPEG image-42084A8F031E-1.jpeg

@The Iconoclast haha very nice. Pan Cyan? one looks a bit cubensis like. Earlier in the year when covid first hit I started growing my own mushrooms for the first time - grew P.cubensis but harvested wild pan cyan. Pan Cyan being my much preferred mush of choice, you can eat a lot less and its a lot more visual. I still grow cubensis, but i've only been microdosing them.

Despite your less than desirable attempt at guerrilla grow, it does seem like fun, is the jedi supposed to do ok outside? Im hoping to get somewhere around 7+ grams from mine. Not much but i'll consider it a success.

@Merl both, Pan Cyan and Cubes. One of the cubes looked like it was spray painted black but I'm guess that was the cube next to it dumping spores, cubes.jpeg It looks a bit evil but I'll take it. They were all a bit wet so they don't have that golden glow.

I gave a couple of seedlings to a friend who has excellent soil, grew a monster photoperiod, but both of the autos were minuscule. I also put a blackberry auto in my garden and it too was minuscule. So my experience with autos outdoors have been good quality but almost zero return.

The best part of my guerrilla grow was the 50km round trip, through some beautiful motorcycling roads.

Tag me if you get some shots of your outdoor grow, I will be interested to see what happens.

@The Iconoclast
Here she is, once this one first went into flower (on Nov 4th) I planted a new one, the newer one looks a lot more like the pictures. This ones a bit weird. Had issues almost the entire go, but she's resilient.

It's already 12 weeks old, but from what i've been told she's gonna take even longer yet.

Hi all, been lurking and reading since back when Mossy was on here breeding purple gems but only just joined as I'm now looking at growing autos. Only grown photos before this, so I'm keen to have a crack at it! Slowly getting things together for a space bucket/tote as where I live now a tent is not an option. I look forward to contributing and learning. Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi oi oi!

@Nope17 Hey man! check out my blog I have literally just made a space bucket.. head over and check it out and let me know what you think
