You never know until you give it go mate. A lot of old school growers are making the switch over to LED's and getting impressive results.

I average about 1.5 grams per watt from my LED's Can't say if it makes any diff quality wise because I've never run HID. But I know for a fact that my harvest weights are on point.

Oh yeah bro I realise how good leds are....... I have a couple of really high quality units........ And don't get me wrong they work fantastic....... I think the quality of the smoke is very different........... Also....... Got to ask ourselves...... If led is truly better....... Why does Daz mephesto...... probably the world's best auto breeder..... grow under hps lights........ Something doesn't add up

Haha, don't believe everything you hear about led lights bro....... I realise there cheap to run but if you look at the breeders notes from nearly any reputable dealer and you'll see that under lighting it will say grown under hps....... Led does have advantages, mostly the fact that they are cool allowing you to control your environment much easier........ However....... The raw power of HID lighting will always win......... I'm definitely not knocking what HID can do and produce buddy. Im in my mid 40's and popped my first seed at 15yo, straight in the ground. Been growing in the ground for 30years now, and also did some indoor in my 20's. I used HID back then, that's why I decided to use them in my first grow indoors(in 15+ years) about 12 months ago. After a lot of intense research on lights, and the crazy electricity bills, I decided to get some LED's for the second grow. As I could only afford two of the lights at the time , Electric Sky 300's, I setup Hybrid Lighting(mixed LED + HID) for the grow to fill the space of the 6x6 tent I use for my Photo's. Got some pretty good results except for one hermie, thinking it was genetics.
I'm currently on my 3rd Photo grow with all LED lights, so still learning how to use them properly. I'm amazed at the veg growth I have so far got off them, but wont be convinced until I have finished the grow. I am seeing a lot of good results from LED's on the web, but have to see it for myself first to be convinced.

great looking plant mate, love the training. I will be happy if I just make it through my first Auto grow without killing them haha.

Cape York would be about the only decent place to be in Oz at the moment. Apart from the heat, the flies, the heat, the mozzies, the heat, the crocs, the heat, the midges, and the humidity.. it's paradise

Another queen slander here. I didn't even know there was a HID/LED debate, LED puts out more photons, HID puts out more heat.
