My first Candy Kush has lived up to its hype so far..although there's a bit of stretching, the buds are super chunky and frosty, fast plant, easy to grow, takes on a lot of nutes, low ambient odor (but strong to the touch/up close).

I grow in a PC case, it's what I am relegated to, has about 22" of headroom left after I (rather sloppily) put in a 100W Blackstar LED.

This plant pictured as far as size is nothing special, but noticed a shortage of photos/reports on it still. She's about 24" tall with some stretching.

Compared to my early days of growing about a year ago, it's night and day though at this time. Maybe 4-5 days more before I cut her down (but still pretty "white and green" - yet not a lot of swelling the last few days though...at day 65 approx).

It's a short strain - maybe 2 ft. in soil tops (60cm), so maybe not unusual yours is shorter, although mine took-off vertically around week 3-4 when flowering started. I use mostly organic-based nutes and soil, quality hydro store retail stuff since I grow small/stealth. I honestly didn't have to do anything different with it, but kept the Cal-Mag and N going through flowering at decent levels, she loved that, and it does not seem to be sensitive to strong formula/nute mixes.

I'm probably looking at...25-30g's or more out of a 1.7 gal pot in a PC case with 22" or so of headroom? I'll take that, and i'm sure the strain can do a lot better. I'm definitely tired of the Ryder autos at this point, learning how to grow has opened up my options with strains finally, over the last year, wish I had a bit more room, it's tough in a small, hot closet, to do this at all.

I was running cfls. 6500k.. fir the first two weeks then switched to a t5 set up.. she still has the same amount if nodes as the DD.. ive already had to stay lst training on that one.. keeping the light about 2 inches away.. all is going great!... thanks fir the info :-)

Cool. I decided to grow the CK out a bit more and fed/put the lights back on today.

Just to update this, cut her down last weekend (one week ago) and went into the curing bowl over Thurs/Fri (1-2 days ago).

1. I harvested a bit too early (maybe 5-7 days early) - I assume the Sativa in CK stretches it out, this is more of a 75-85 day plant, not a "quick" harvester like Ryders are it seems. I was at 70+ days and still had nothing but green leaves top to bottom (although I'm adding some Cal-Mag and N now during flowering regularly).

2. The non-cured high is actually fairly nice right off the stalk, hardly any smell/odor though, yet plenty of resin/sugar and thick budding as expected. She lost her smell almost completely while drying (time to try the paper bag method me thinks from now on). Anxious to try it once it's cured for 3-4 weeks.

3. Disappointing over-all yield, which surprised me, for a 2 ft tall plant. I got a single cola pheno that had some nice little branching for a micro-grow, even LST'd the main stalk resulting in more developed, lower buds, but still didn't yield what I thought it would (around 1/4-1/2 oz dried). The yield, I have to think, is largely my fault, so I ordered 3 more as I want to give this strain another chance. That said, the buds are gooey and thick for a leafy plant, and therefore do not require much at all to get nice and stoned. Early on, very relaxing, Sativa genes add that nice psychedelic feel and make things like music and movies better. :) Definitely a "medical" strain though, but no couch-lock or anything like that yet, just a good mellow buzz with a nice head/mood lift. That said, it is good for sleep unlike some other Indica/Sat autos I've grown.

4. I noticed the major banks are starting to run out of these fast (Attitude out of 3 packs, SSOC out altogether, Herb's still has 3 packs). Get 'em while you can, hope it doesn't go the way of Betty Boo's, which have been out of stock for months.

I have two more beans after this run.. glad you got a few more to try.. it's my first grow ever.. hopefully ill get something decent:-)

Let me know how it goes! The CK is definitely in my top 3 so far for micro-grows. I have a Chronic Ryder starting to flower now and a MOC Blue Amensia and Pakistan Ryder in the germination tray myself. I also am switching over to the full EarthJuice line (including the new-ish EJ MasterBlooms) from General Organics...hoping that makes a yield/quality difference. So far, so good.
