Self watering Tray2Grow experiment đź‘€

Day 26
No defol yet still leaf tucking. The 2 “normal” plants are zooming right along and growing 1.5 to 2 inches a day.

Self topper is real healthy and super bushy but to be expected with only 3 nodes. All 6 tops forming an even canopy so far though thanks to some early leaf tucking.

Have to assume when my dog tried to yank her out of the pot some roots were broken and that’s why the night owl seems stunted. She’s healthy though and starting to stretch, just at a slow pace.

Just got my co2 bucket generator, I thought I’d give it a shot since I’m experimenting with more light wattage than before. About to get it ready and takes 24 hours to warm up before firing it up. Not sure how much it will help but I figure it can’t hurt. This bucket lasts 6 months so enough for two grows.

Whats the cost on those buckets? Ive been kinda trying to find a disposable source of co2

Comes with a pump and hose, plan to have hose attached to one of my tent fans near top of tent
Good idea! Its heavier than oxygen so wants to fall like rain. I used to have perforated hose that lined the top of my tent. It was sealed so i didnt worry about waste. Now my tents run exhaust so i plan on running a diy co2 generator hooked up to a hose on a fan up top pointed down as well!

I decided against the co2 for this run because I realized my tent isn’t ready yet. Long story short I need to dial in getting desired temp/rh without using the exhaust fan as heavily. Next run I’ll be ready to go

Day 31..everyone is healthy and happy! Grape Walker Kush back left and Forum Stomper x Sour Crack back right are 30” and 28” tall and grew my first ever 11 finger leaves so that’s cool to see.

This is a cool pic for me because Creme Tasmo self topped after 3 nodes and was as thick as a head of lettuce but I kept leaf tucking and now there’s 16 bud sites showing which ain’t bad for 6 tops I think

No training or defol at all yet is new for me at 31 days but there’s something very satisfying about watching them grow naturally. My theory is that it lets them have their best veg possible with no stress to recover from, which “should” make it easier for them to live in 24hr light. Honestly not sure if the theory holds water, it’s more of a common sense approach that I wasn’t sure would apply but seems to be working so far. My goal here isn’t just a bigger yield but rather seeing what happens if I just let them do their thing naturally with just a little tucking help. Thanks for stopping by! ✌🏻
