New Grower 4th grow…experimenting with node amounts and topping/not topping

Looking real nice man!! Try to keep the mains flat as long as you can and don’t hesitate to remove upper large fans that are overlapping or blocking light. You can also train your lower growth when they get bigger to place them in strategic places for the end canopy. But now you just let em shoot for the sky. I can’t wait to see it grow bro, feel free to post pics here cuz I’m just gonna make this my forever grow journal since I can’t help but experiment one way or another on every grow!

Does anyone know who can help me remove “4th grow” and keep the rest in the thread title? I’m gonna make this my forever journal, instead of searching around for my old notes I can find em all here. By far not a necessity but if it’s easy I appreciate it.

Day 69

Gave em all a haircut last night but not a buzz cut just the biggest leaves with easily accessible stems. Amazingly all 4 plants are on the exact same schedule with very very little clear trichs, a lot of milky, and a hint of amber which is when I prefer to cut. I’ll be taking my time branch for branch and will try leaving behind any growth that needs more light and time.
I’m also going straight to bags for drying this time to save space by not using a separate tent to dry in. I hung a couple closet pole hangers and a pole for my hangers. I’ll unscrew the light bulbs closest to em to help a little but the bags are to achieve the darkness I prefer while drying and my shed has great ambient temp/rh at 63ish/60ish. I hear they help dry evenly so that’s a bonus but I just want them in the dark while out in the open lol. Gonna cut em in about 12” pieces and stand em vertically.
I’ll take progress pics as I go, just wanna dump a round of post haircut right now. The closeup of one bud looks EXACTLY like the other buds. Thanks for stopping by. Peace

First welcome to my new drying room hahaaa

Also I saw a couple small insect/gnat/pest creeping the 2 strawberries and a tomato plant so I booted all veggies and fruit out of my tent. Thus I can’t justify paying an electric bill for 2 lights for personal bud so I’ll be replacing the 4x8 with the 4x4. Love the space but just don’t need it. Fact is I can plant 2 beans every 40 days and still have way too much inventory on hand so I’m trying to make my monthly investment as invisible as possible so that I really AM growing free weed.

Spidey senses are telling me to wait and check each day for a smidge more amber to let them mature as much as possible. While I definitely don’t want 50% amber or something, I DO want mature buds so even though I prefer the effect of all milky, I can swear I hear em whispering ”give me a couple more days”. I’m definitely not in a hurry so I’m gonna give in to the voices in my head. Life is easier that way lmao.

I did get a pic though of JDs first time ever being outside the shed when I was quadruple checking the trichs in ambient light.

Day 72

Still giving em time. I see a teeny increase in amber throughout the whole forest so it looks I’ll start tomorrow. I’ll be chopping off the top and most mature buds and leave the lower growth. Here’s an example with the Double Grape where I can see beautiful purple up top and outside but it’s green lower in the middle so I’ll leave that behind

And for fun…I was so naive when I first started growing that I bought the wine cooler on the left for storage.

Day 74
Chop Day

Everyone is chopped and bagged. I’d say about 5% amber on every plant. Trippy how they have aged identically. I am very happy with the dense buds they have all produced and am feeling a little anxious about my first time drying in bags. Super fun grow, I learned a lot. I’ll have pics of dried bud and final weights and here they are on the final day.
