COMMENTS:

I'm knackered.

A/C drilling and repositioning completed, as well as all the girls are now in their forever pots.
So now the Campus is in full swing, with 16 x 30 litre pots, and when the lights off period is over, there'll be 4 x 600W HPS sun gods for the girls to sunbathe under.

God knows what that's going to do to tent temps.
I'm waiting, anxiously.

So repotted, and also fed during lights off, to get them all settled and ready to stretch their roots and experience total freedom.

When transplanting them into their new homes, I also got a peek under the bonnet, and the roots look superb.
Good root mass, very white and looking like a strong feeding network.
They're going to LOVE the extra space to spread out in the 30 litre homes.

Great job, i am still stumped about the temps though that is just weird

This grow is testing my patience and resourcefulness.

As I suspected it would, having 4 x 600W is stress testing the ventilation and A/C system, with temps hovering around 29°C / 30°C.

But that's not my biggest issue.
Now I discover that with 4 x 600w lights, A/C, Extractor fan, oscillating fan and dehumidifier, the house wiring can't handle it, and the mains board keeps tripping.

I've had to cut it back to 3 x 600W so it keeps under the maximum draw.
Problem with that is it's now compromised the light quantity/quality and footprint.
So I'm going to have to think of a way to rejig the layout for 16 plants to be adequately covered by just 3 lights.

The upside is with only 3 lights, I should be able to get a better handle on the temps.
Silver linings, and all that ...

Ahhhh man the beauty of growin ganj, I tell you this, the best part of growin for me is having all these challenges and then overcoming them it is very satisfying

I'm seriously considering getting some cheap LEDs to get me over this hump.
Power consumption would be lower.
Temps would be lower and more manageable.
Would instantly combat my two major issues in one go.

COMMENTS:

Another rejig of the tent today.

I've had to compromise to keep temps and power consumption down.
Last thing I need is to fry both the girls AND the electrical wiring in the house!

So we're down to 3 x 600W HPS to supply lighting to all of Campus.
I anticipate yields will be down as a result. Time will tell.
I've also turned the dehumidifier off.
It too was exhausting warm air into the tent, and the extraction fan seems to be managing humidity just fine.

Campus temps have come down under 30°C.

Other than that, the students seem oblivious and actually look good.
I'm the only one that's frazzled.

You can see the new growth looks very healthy, vigorous, and the ladies are praying to the sun gods - always a good sign.

The HubbaBubbaSmelloScope Auto girls [black pots], have 1 roommate [white pot], and their own dedicated side of the tent, giving them very spacious accommodation, and their own lighting.

No feeding today.
They received a tummy busting smorgasbord yesterday, to get them settled in their new dorm rooms.

Yeah - my thoughts exactly.
It's stabilised.
For now.

3 x 600W isn't ideal, but the coverage looks OK.
Might get a little cramped when they start to fill out, but we're a good few weeks away from that.

I just need to co-ordinate running major appliances during lights off.
At the moment, i can't even boil the kettle for a morning cuppa without tripping the mains.
We're living on the edge!!

I'm calling in a few favours and might have some 'loaner' LEDs coming though.
That would offer some relief too.

Yeah it should help but you will have to get some serious LED action to equal 1800 HID watts(just keep that in mind)

I've got 3600W of LED on order.
Hoping that will arrive by end of month.
Hoping. Praying.
Should have been here months ago ... but - that's life.

In the meantime, I'll see what I can scrounge and borrow.
