Awesome yoz i really think bondage makes the biggest difference with autos for yield, getting those hidden sites exposed to light is great for the side branches and an even canopy

I learnt that lesson when comparing Grow No.1 and Grow No.2.
Grow No.1 included LST; Grow No.2 didn't.
It taught be an excellent lesson with a straight A vs B side-by-side comparative grow of LST vs No-LST.

Hence, this grow was ALWAYS going to involve LST!

i cant wait for your smoke report on the jack 47 bro i had some jack herer years ago and it knocked my head off and played football with it,and now its crossed with ak47.rocket,moon comes to mind

I have a 'team' of testers who provide feedback for my reviews and smoke reports.
Just a way for me to try to introduce some modicum of independence.

:smokeout:

Current top of the list for them - a CLEAR favourite - is Sweet Trainwreck Auto by @Sweet Seeds.
That one is DEFINITELY going back in my tent in the very near future.
I'm hoping the Jack 47 Auto becomes a serious contender for that coveted top spot.

My mother's tolerance shifted, when I was carer for my wife, who was battling terminal cancer.
MMJ was a major part of restoring some quality of life during her final months, and also - I am convinced - of extending her time.

My mother was also caring for her partner through cancer at the same time, so we would often share 'carers' stories and be an outlet for each other. It was during this time she saw a different side to cannabis, than the one spoonfed to her by the media and sponsored politicians.
She was able to witness what it was doing for her daughter-in-law, supported by testimony from her son, going through the same situation as she was with her husband.

She now 'accepts' [and quietly supports, but will never admit it] my DREAM to be a fulltime grower and source of MMJ for other cancer sufferers.

Clouds, silver linings, etc.

@Yozhik you sir are an inspiration,i cannot imagine going through what you have been through and to have the mental strength to want to grow and provide for other sufferers is just mind blowing my friend :worship:

Thanks man, but in all seriousness, no mental strength required.
I look at it more of a 'calling'.

I won't go into detail - this is not the time nor the place - but the herb REALLY improved my wife's quality of life, and it pisses me off to levels I can't even put words to, to think other cancer sufferers are being denied what I had to illegally provide for my wife.

Not to mention the constant fear we lived in, from a knock on the door from the boys in blue, or even worse, social services, to kidnap our daughter and put her into the arms of some state sponsored paedophile ring in social care.

It's inhumane.

We're not talking about some kind of snakeoil remedy.
But a very real way of improving quality of life during final stages of life.

I could rant for hours ... I won't.

Just something I've noticed, which others might find useful ...

The tap water here is hard.
EC runs at about 0.5 to 0.6.
pH can be anywhere from 7.6 to 8.2.

I have been using the Advanced Nutrient 'pH perfect' range - both Sensi and Connoisseur - but when testing the feed prior to application, found the pH was still 'too high'. I was trying to get it to pH 6.3, because I thought that was the thing to do to get it into the sweet spot. And so I would use a pH down to get it to where the 'pH perfect' range couldn't, due to the tap water [poor] quality.

So I would prepare the pH perfect feedings, and then add pH down to religiously hit 6.3 for every feeding.
I was anal about it.
All the books said 6.3 was the sweet spot, so that is exactly what I was going to give them.

In my Grow No.2 I had some major pH issues early on.
The leaves were delaminating, and it generally did not look good.
It was a real head fuck, because I knew the feed and soil was where it should have been.

THEN I read about the 'buffers' in AN's pH perfect range, and a bit on how buffers work, and the fact that they're still active after the application, in the soil.

So this grow, I have stopped using any pH down product, and just left the pH perfect to do its thing.
Feeds have been pH 6.5 and even 6.6, which is higher than I would have normally given, BUT, here's the thing ... I'm not having the same pH issues I have had in the past when using a pH down product.

I don't know the exact science behind it, and my conclusion is somewhat anecdotal and unproven - but it seems the pH issues in Grow 2 were from the pH down product itself, in isolation. Almost like everything else I was adding didn't exist, an the only product the plants were reacting to was the pH down, which of course, is a strong acid. Hence, pH issues. Just letting the soil, the AN pH perfect range and the included buffers is all that is needed.

I know this might be a "no shit Sherlock" thing for most growers, but maybe there are other 'unconscious incompetents' like me, who might find this epiphany useful.

They are mocking me.

A selection of comparisons after just 12 hours have passed.

:slap: max rep yoz that's a very sad but great story.
Mmj has awsome medical purpose and needs to be available to all around the world I'm a very strong believer in this I just wish I had a more powerful voice to free this mircal plant to all who needs it. I love what you are doing here brother all the best I see uve broken the canes out :naughtystep:
