would luv to learn from u too
marywanther
The only thing I would urge you to learn from me, is to
learn from the giants that have walked before us.
For example, some of those whose journals I have read, re-read, and re-re-read, and continue to read are;
CAVEAT: I am loathed to list 'mentors' because I know before I even start that there are monster growers I have learnt from, and continue to learn from, that won't be acknowledged here, and deserve to be ...
Search the internet for 'Heath Robinson' journals.
The guy is a LEGEND.
Innovative, creative, educational, and 'giving'.
Doesn't do Autos, but his knowledge and SHARING of knowledge is immense.
I still refer to, and re-read, a journal documenting Heath Robinson growing indoor trees.
His hydro setup is insane; his use of vertical lighting paradigm shifting.
If you want to learn about root health, and optimising conditions, you'd be hard pressed to fine better.
@seymour-buds is another LEGEND.
My takeaway from his earlier journals was consistency of environment, and being able to - almost telepathically - 'listening' to your plants. The Cannabis Whisperer.
My obsessive-compulsive control of environment was/is inspired by
@TaNg
His success is phenomenal, but it's not just random success, it's how it is consistent and replicated, time after time after time.
That's no fluke.
That's down to absolute dedication to providing an environment that is always in the sweet spot.
He knows temps, humidity, nutes, water, etc are always where they are meant to be.
It's like anything, if you build a habit of having an environment in the sweet spot and obsessively managed, then ANY issues will be plant based, and can be dealt with specifically, and quickly, rather than having to also factor in environmental influences that you might not have a handle on.
Want to see the benefits of LST and how to produce multiple bud sites, then
@Hazy and his caning techniques are a superb resource.
I know there are other LST gurus like
@A-Train and a dozen others I could mention, and I hope I don't insult by not - but the simplicity and documented evidence of
@Hazy's caning is there in plain sight, and provides a step-by-step how to is you just read his journals and study the pictures.
All growers are going to have issues as some time or another.
That's a given. A fundamental part of your learning should be reading through the 'Infirmary' section to have a base knowledge of what you might encounter, but also to gaze in awe at the depth of knowledge and unbelievable giving of the likes of
@Waira. We are so very lucky to have that kind of expertise available to us. Learn from it - bathe it all in.
There's a heap of good info available on this forum, and others.
Choose a style of growing that suits you, and then seek out those who have previously excelled at it, and LEARN, LEARN, LEARN.
The most amazing thing about this site is the willingness of members to share and answer questions.
Yes, the journals are an awesome resource, but just as in business, the greatest resource on this site is the people.
So ask.
Read, read, read, ask, implement.
Sorry if this got all 'ranty' and comes across as a kiss-ass lovefest.
That's not my intent.
And again, I apologise to those giants I have left unnamed.
You know who you are.
Hope this helps
