This grow is testing my patience and resourcefulness.

As I suspected it would, having 4 x 600W is stress testing the ventilation and A/C system, with temps hovering around 29°C / 30°C.

But that's not my biggest issue.
Now I discover that with 4 x 600w lights, A/C, Extractor fan, oscillating fan and dehumidifier, the house wiring can't handle it, and the mains board keeps tripping.

I've had to cut it back to 3 x 600W so it keeps under the maximum draw.
Problem with that is it's now compromised the light quantity/quality and footprint.
So I'm going to have to think of a way to rejig the layout for 16 plants to be adequately covered by just 3 lights.

The upside is with only 3 lights, I should be able to get a better handle on the temps.
Silver linings, and all that ...

The pisser is I'm not meant to be running HPS.
Knowing what a Spanish summer means, I bought LEDs months ago, in preparation, to keep temps down and to lower power consumption.

When I say I bought them, it means I paid for them.
They haven't been delivered.
Delay after delay after delay.

So I really don't want to be forking out any more $£€ on a form of lighting that I'm just counting the days until I won't be using it.

COMMENTS:

Another rejig of the tent today.

I've had to compromise to keep temps and power consumption down.
Last thing I need is to fry both the girls AND the electrical wiring in the house!

So we're down to 3 x 600W HPS to supply lighting to all of Campus.
I anticipate yields will be down as a result. Time will tell.
I've also turned the dehumidifier off.
It too was exhausting warm air into the tent, and the extraction fan seems to be managing humidity just fine.

Campus temps have come down under 30°C.

Other than that, the students seem oblivious and actually look good.
I'm the only one that's frazzled.

No feeding today.
They received a tummy busting smorgasbord yesterday, to get them settled in their new dorm rooms.

You're mixing roots excelurator with voodoo juice?

Yeah.

Read such good things about Roots Excelurator that I wanted to run it this grow.
I just added it to the standard AN schedule.
The AN is only running @ 1.0 ml/l

It might be doubling up, which says more about my state of 'unconscious incompetence' [I don't know, what I don't know] ... but going by the root system I spied when transplanting them, and the healthy looking growth, it doesn't seem to be hurting them.

Also, why are you using revive? I've never looked into the stuff.

It's my go to first aid kit.
First time i used it, I saw a Jesusesque resurrection from a plant that had a near death experience.
I've only added it to the last couple of feeds because of the heat stress - just as a bit of a pick me up.
They're looking pretty much recovered now, so no need for it in future feedings.
