What's up Yoz! I'm really glad to have found this thread! I'm pulling up a chair and excited to see what you put out for us this time. Is this your first grow using the Connoisseur base nutrients? I picked them up and I'm going to give them run on my next grow when I get back in town. I think we're basically running most of the same stuff, I've just cut back a few things to see if I can save some cost.

Hey - welcome!

Yes - first run with the Connoisseur range.
Made the switch to reduce the risk of Nitrogen toxicity.
I read the Connoisseur range was a little gentler.

Let me know how you go with yours!

COMMENTS:

Temps seem to be more under control now.
However, there is something else I believe I need to address sooner, rather than later.

The small pots (0.5l) were used to germinate, with the thought to transplant once they were established.
It was done to keep the footprint of 16 plants to a smaller, more manageable size, for as long as possible, to minimise light requirements. It was also done to motivate vigorous root development post-transplant.

However, I'm not happy with the temperature of the pots themselves.
The smaller pots seem very susceptible to 'getting hot' under the lights.
Warm pot = warm root area = major problems.

So my thought now is to move them to their final resting posts.

A pain in the ass for me - more lighting needed, more watering, major stress on an already fragile temperature management system, less manoeuvrability ... BUT, better for the plants.

COMMENTS:

Tent environment seems in order.
Temps around 28 °C (+/- 1 °C) during lights on, and around 25 °C (+/- 1 °C) during lights off.
Humidity seems constant too.
I'm happy with the environment now, so time to concentrate on the feedback from the plants.

The oldest leaves are looking manky.
Pretty sure they'll be the first leaves lost, but right now they're telling a story.
Since addressing temps, the new growth looks good.
I'm confident it's been addressed, and quickly enough not to cause any long term harm.

Interesting to note that the babies that DID NOT fly too close to the sun, don't have the manky leaves.
So given it's limited to only those plants that gave some ridiculous initial stretch, and reached too high, too soon, pretty much confirms it was the direct heat from the HPS that caused the initial problem.

Just to help, I gave them a low dose of my 'go to' first aid kit - Advanced Nutrients Revive.

Everything else is as per Advanced Nutrients feeding schedule.

I didn't realise u had the other 4 plants dedicated to the breeder I'm just going to stick with following this one bro and ull pop in every few weeks to see the others. I highly recommend the revive also great stuff

Yeah - I thought it was the politically correct thing to do, to separate the grows to each AFN recommended breeder.

Not a lot to report.
No watering today.

So a good chance to take some extra photos.
