Nothing of significance to report today.

Today is all about me running around trying to come up with a solution for heat stress on Campus.

The air-con has reduced the tent temps down to 27°C which is where I want it to be.
Humidity is between 40 RH% and 47 RH% - so no issues there.
I found by switching off the ventilation, the temps came down to the target range.
It was the recycling of the air-con exhaust which was keeping temps elevated.

The pleasant surprise is that the air-con and the dehumidifier are actually creating the negative pressure, that the ventilation fan was, which I feared would be lost. BONUS!

There's still an obvious hot spot directly under the HPS - but not much can be done about that.
That's just the nature of HPS.

With oscillating fans and the air movement from the air-con itself, all that can be done, is being done - now it's just a matter of patience, allowing the babies time to recover.

Resisted watering today.
Soil is still moist.
I want the roots to go searching.
So even though the temptation is to hydrate them if they're heat stressed, I fear that would be counter-productive, and I am loathed to add over-watering to a heat stress issue!

Oh - I did add the two substitute seeds into the tent; catalogued as MN1 and MN2.
The two late replacements are not Sweet Seeds, so I will feature them elsewhere, or maybe just not journal them.
Not sure.

I'd just not document them and have them on this if it was me unless it's a afn vendor and it's the badges ure after then yeah document it peace ✌

Hi bro long time no see nice to see you back at it again, defo not got much meds left then with the tribe you have to supply hahahahah.
Girls are looking great bro subbed up for the grow and the laugh we have on your grows

Btw go check out my brooklyn sunrise she is a monster

Shit - sorry.
Missed it.

Had my head so far up my heat stressed ass that I've kinda let a few things slip through the gaps.

I know I'm behind in comments and 'Likes', etc ... But well, if you've followed by grows, you know how ridiculously anal and obsessive I am about having total control over the environment ... So these temps are doing my fucking head in.

Did I mention I hate not being in total control of the environment?

:dammit:

Today I declared war on my grow room temps.
I know, I know ... What I really need to do is drill a hole in the fucking wall.
But right now - as in TODAY - that's not an option, and I need to get these temps where I want them to be.

Soooooo ... first 'easy fix' sorted.
Light schedule has been dropped back to 18/6.
It was only a matter of time anyway.
It's the Sweet Seeds recommendation for their genetics, so why not do as the breeder suggests?

Key point being, I can time the lights off period with the hottest part of the day.
An extended Spanish siesta.

Those 6 hours of lights off, with the air-con on thermostat bring the temps down to the optimal minimum before the lights come back on in the evening, should bring a lot of relief to the heat stressed babies.

I still have to drill a hole to the outside for the air-con exhaust ... but ... It should give some immediate relief until I work out a more permanent solution.

COMMENTS:

Light schedule changed as per previous post - now 18/6, which should also combat temps.
Apart from the heat stressed leaves, everything looks good.
If I try to look past the gnarly leaf edges, the colour looks uniform, as does the new growth.
Just need to be a little patient with the ugly leaves.
At the end of the day, they're going to be the bottom leaves anyway, which means they'll be the first to go.

Looks like the 2 substitutes are going to come through OK.
One of them seems to have broken the soil already, so we'll soon be back to a full compliment of 16 little girls.
