How far do you hang your HPS lights from the canopy? My friend just got one and I'm not really sure of what to tell him since I mess with LED.

How far do you hang your HPS lights from the canopy? My friend just got one and I'm not really sure of what to tell him since I mess with LED.

I usually hang about 20"-25" when seedlings, but if they look too leggy, I'll toy with it a little lower.
Once they're established and all looks good, I'll try to maintain it around 18"-20" ... but always monitor under light temps at canopy height, and watch for any adverse reaction.
