try using woman's stockings or comforters placed over the pot like a sock from the bottom up and for the top some sand so it is covered all around. seems to get rid of 99% of gnats without chems or anything goodluck

Thanks Puff! I still have yet to get the pantyhose a: embarrassed to go buy them, b: zero idea what size hose would fit over a 1gal and 2 gal air pot? Anyone have any suggestions?

These gals have really gone through some EXTREME stress testing so far, they have been repeatedly treated (maybe three time aprox with h202 drenches) hit them off twice with heavy doses of sms 203 and with azamax.. They have been subjected to times of overwatering, dried out, amongst other screw ups… So this grow may not show these strains full potentials it will certainly be a testament to the abuse that they can handle…
I have placed the most stunted and messed up looking gal the Auto Cush X Chemdawg in the 12/12 tent and covered the top of the pot with some gnat nix or something like that… Still need to cover those sides She is a VERY VERY stout girl, I chopped the middle bit of growth in the middle so I guess I topped the her to hopefully open her up some more and encourage come more upwards growth and to give her a couple of main colas.. May be a stout girl but want to get the most out of her...



Next up are the other two gals that are still under the t5's they seem to be doing slightly better, I still have yet to cover the tops of soil, going to transfer them to the 12/12 as soon as a bit of room clears up…

Here is the 24ct x Chemdawg, all these ladies mind you are bit over a month old… Really hoping they GROW.. lol they seem so tiny… But as already said they have been quite abused...



Than we have my favorite looking one of the three the Sour B X Chemdawg….



I will try to update more regular now that the plants look as if they will keep growing… I had a few times I didn't think they would make it….. We are still kicking over month none of them have yet to show any sex etc… I think I really set them back a few weeks...

BTW: they are being fed the canna line-up: Canna A&B, Rhizo, Cannazyme, and Cal-Mag with 1ml of sm90 for good measure and a wetting agent… Ph'ed usually to around 5.7 to 5.9….

any size fits as the part the goes around a woman's waist is what goes around the sides of the smart pot, the legs you can wrap around the pot and tie off as they just are left dangling from the bottom

DOH! Lol I was drawing a complete blank on this entire pantyhose thing, just seemed so crazy,but my best defense to let these ladies recover and shine! I sucked it up today and just left goodwill with a bag full of pantyhose for $12
It wasn't as bad as I thought, just the guy in front of me buying his brix a bac looked and saw what was in my hand and just kept giving me looks... the cashier didn't even bat an eye
Will get to them airpots sometime this weekend...

Wow keeping a journal such as this really puts things into perspective! I thought my ladies last update was longer ago than 10/10… I guess in these past 11days they have really exploded and are starting to do their thing… The Sour Bubbly x Chemdawg is still under the t5 at 18/6 light schedule… Still giving the canna line up with out the boost or pk yet… truly am surprised at how these girls have "snapped" back compared to some other plants I had going at the same time that did grow as big… Only can imagine what these ladies would do if they had a proper first month of life!

Next up is the Auto Cush x Chemdawg that got topped due to its short stature… It seems like it kicked it into gear…She is under the 1,000hps on 12/12 getting canna line up a couple of waterings got very light bloom nutes… Though am trying to hold off… Been doing all my coco feeds with very low amounts of nutes 3 to 4 ml per gal of each product (rhizo, cannazyme, a&b) with 5ml of cal/mag plus… and 1ml of sm-90… I feed at least once or twice a day… Flood to waste… I also ended up getting them panty hose on these two girls and they seem to be keeping the gnats "away" as much as possible…

Than the last one the 24ct x Chemdawg hasn't started to throw pistils out yet, but figuring any day now, especially since they are on 12/12….

I hope to have a decent turn around upon flowering my grows of late have all been mostly underdogs that have made a rebound! Its the first month or so with the seedlings and the coco that I seem to be having the most trouble with… So as far as testing purposes are concerned these ladies really can handle a HARDY BEATING! Thinking will be good for growers for sure!

Happy belated Halloween everyone!
Just an update on the ladies here… It's been about 10days since last update,
So approximately on day 42-45… give or take… The Sour Bubbly x Chemdawg continued to hang out under the t5 lightening until tonight, I haphazardly forgot to water her and being in coco needless to say the results were what looked liked to be a DEAD plant… Well she sprang back and got defoliated and super cropped here… Yield will suffer but at least plant is alive and will give me some meds to test…
Just 12hr's under the 1,000w hps and she's perked up…much further behind than the 12/12 girls…


Next up is the 24ct x Chemdawg… great structure and tons of buds sites on her...


and last but not least my favorite of the three the original stunted Auto Cush x Chemdawg…tons of buds sites, and they already got some weight to them… seems to be a great strain here!

Yea, they sure do look funny but seemed to do the trick :tiphat: the sour bubbly x chemdawg has made a nice recovery… Didn't realize these plants are not even 60 days yet… very impressed, I thought I had stunted them bad and that they would not perform.. I got to say am rather pleased with these ladies all things considered… and they are only in 1gal air-pots….

Want to ask your guys opinion, though my gut and the advice I would give to others is not to do what I'm thinking but I figure, hey this is a test grow and lets see what these ladies can handle… I am winding down all my grows and getting ready to pack things in for a bit, hence the less the activity and journals as of late, so currently in the 1,000w tent are nothing but the three mephisto autos, the sbr70, and the auto fire 99a (which both have about a week or so till chop, and these mephistos look like they have a month absolutely tops to go… if not sooner… So my idea was these autos were sharing the tent with some finishing photos so they were on 12/12, now there are no more photos in the tent I am thinking of bumping the light hours back up to 18/6 to finish these ladies out.. Figure the worse it could is make them throw some nanners but this late in the game they won't have time to produce viable seeds and would hope the added hours would fatten them up even some more… So what's your guys opinions? would love some feed back… lol, hope this post makes sense… am a bit medicated atm
