Hey Now,
Time for an update. The four autos are looking appropriate for their age. Looks like about 8 of 12 KOSH regular beans have popped so far. Here’s to 100 germ! Now to grow and sex them. I am open to suggestions from any of you regular, photoperiod, growers out there.

Glad I followed cause I sure as heck don't know how to successfully determine sex early on.

Looks like a good start though.

:woohoo1: great to see the Machine fired up again my man! :yay:
This is a nice selection of cultivars too, should cover the effects range pretty well day-to-night... The KOSH should be just fine, make that lemonade from that unwelcome surprise!

I too produce for fam' and friends - 😍 ..betting I don't consume more than 10% of what I grow! Being a variety slut and just loving the grow as a hobby pushed me to produce,...

I don't know enough about KOSH's behavior to offer much advise as per veg times and such. As a Haze cross I'd expect some pretty extensive stretching even after bloom starts, but there's other more compact genetics in this cross so once again it's a pheno' finger-cross thing...
Topping and fairly aggressive pruning will help too I feel, make fewer, larger buds, less kibbles&bits stuff from lower nodes...
As for how stubborn they will be switching to bloom (and when to start that light hour change) calls for some homework to be done. Maybe a quick message to them at their site might shake some details loose?

Hey Brother!
Thanks for the kind words and insight!
The key to this is train is consistent environment, SSSC stresses that. I did well with that aspect and was rewarded. That stuff really kicked butt, even with buds full of seeds, heck you’d think your’e back in the 70’s! Can’t wait to see what a sensimillia version!
Growing for the fam is a good thing, like you said though, probably less than 10% is my consumption.
Well I’m going to try to figure out a good way to sex them. My thoughts lean towards nice size, maybe 3-4 nodes and changing the cycle long enough for the boys to show up and then going back to veg timing on the lights again. Any opinions? Anyone?
Peace,
WWW

Hey Willie! :pass: Photo regs should show sex around a month from sprout under 18 hours of light. Males should show 1st. You can also take clones and put them under 12 hours to sex

Dude! That's such a good idea. Just take a small clone and flower it immediately to see? Wicked smaht.

Well alrighty then! That is what will happen. I'll keep an eye out for nanners right around then. Psyched! Thanks. Liking the clone idea as well

Hey Now,
Expanded a bit. Put up a bench to hold the 12 new plants. 12 of 12 another 100% germ, W00t!

Hey now,
Here’s today’s update. I’m still smiling about the 100% germination rate. Wohoo
So, here’s what’s cooking. 3 Strawberry Gorilla from FastBuds, 1 Critical Kush from Barney’s Farm, 12 reg. photos that came from KOSHxKOSH.
All looking good and on schedule. I have a triploid, not exactly, it doesn’t have three sets of haploid chromosomes, it does have three nodes though!

Hey Now,
Yow, those KOSH beans are hardy af! They are all up and look great too, they just popped Monday morning. Look at them today, love it! The auto girls are thriving, look about right for 7-8 days from showing themselves. It always feels great to start a garden, so full of optimism for a lush and potent grow!
I had to toss my home made humidifier, the fogger kept breaking and getting expensive to fix. On a recommendation I bought a smaller unit but it has an open tank. That made it easy to plumb them into my water system. Connected to an InkBird controller it’s a nice automated humidifier, add the de-humidifier and humidity is pretty well handled. Temp is the same with a heater and an air conditioner. I’m looking to upgrade to a min split.
Here’s the water set-up for the humidifiers.

A bit of plumbing and some float valves and here we go.
