Hey,
Okay 18 clones cut and put in the TurbKloner after being dipped in cloning gel. They’ve been growing for some time and the stems were pretty woody, more that I like, but hopefully I’ll get them to root. 6 each of some @SuperSativaSeedClub_John Creeper, and two plants that were gifted to me this last spring. Fingers crossed.

On the extract front I was thrilled when I got the shipping notice for the 200 proof ethanol. I was sure it would not ship to my state. Whew! Also payday so I am ordering a vacuum pump, Büchner funnel, Erlenmeyer flask, etc. today. This will be my first foray into QWET and I’m pretty excited. Next up is the vacuum still so I can reclaim that $$$ solvent.
Now this sounds interesting!!
I'm guessing your collecting the filtrate then rotovaping it down?

Close, just a vacuum still. Like the roto but just heating a chamber under vacuum to lower the boiling temp of the ethanol. Reduce it to an oil like consistency and then vacuum oven the rest of the way.
All theoretical now, hopefully a practical reality in a few days!!

I’ve been doing ethanol extractions for a little over a decade with 195 proof ethanol and it seems to work fine. I do 1 oz in each 1 quart jar. Everything in freezer. 5, 10 and 15 min washes. Filter thru 25 micron 3 times each wash. I like to get my mj good and dried out before I start, helps to keep extract clean. Air Still to evaporate. I reuse ethanol. Overall I get about 60% back.

Cool, awesome feedback thank you. Yeah, this is the right stuff, don’t know why I’d didn’t go right to it. Had to go my own way I suppose. Thanks for the real dry tip, I’ll use that. The vacuum still just tickles my DIY heart, so I just have to use that.

QWET and winterization
Hey now!
Here we go. 1st extraction attempt with qwet and winterization.
Pictures now and I’ll write it up later.
Ready, all else has been in the freezer for two days

Vacuum still parts still arriving. It will be a week most likely.

Hey Now!
Looky looky here!
Working in the garden again. Turns out there was a bit of an infestation along with everything else that was the disaster of the grow just past. Being ill, depressed, etc. and not looking after things does indeed have a deleterious effect on things.
That being said the clones are ready, took a while, those stems were really woody. I have six Creeper from SSSC clones and a few others that I’ll be growing. Need a nice crop to make concentrate now that I invest in the laboratory equipment!

Okay all cleaned up. Eight pots running so far. Hope for one more each of the two other than the Creeper. I gotta ask my son what they are again. He gifted me two clones from a friend. I Kept them going for a few months and grabbed some clone starts. Only two so far but looks like maybe a few more will come through for me.

Happy Friday!
Just a quick pic from the security camera. Clones look happy so far. Going to feed them tomorrow, probably a light feed.
