If solo cup is how u r starting them then yes cut the bottom off the cup with plant and set inside a 2nd solo cup with drain holes! Just make sure u put a layer of perlite/pumice etc down so the roots don’t wind up in those drain holes! This plant after 16 days with no bottom on cup had such crazy roots I just planted the whole solo cup into the 3gal pot and this is how strong plants roots were after chop on day 70!Safe to say viable
The 2020 tester sank after handful of hours and floated back up which usually means its ready so that's under peat starter and mykos yesterday.
Do you guys that don't start in final just pull the whole thing out the cup once you see a root come out the bottom or leaves reach edge? And should i take it out or cut half the bottom out to force roots out and not initially overwater the whole fabric pot?
Thanks
From bottom of cup n out into pot roots were strong enough to hold the pot and soil up which was easily 15lbs and was holding it by the stem here! Had to open Velcro to get soil out and was 1 solid root mass! :smoking:
