Why not breed with F1's?

you are right about one thing ,, couldnt be more wrong , you are living in the past , the distant past at that

proper fems are not hermies in any way whatsoever , and until you learn the facts i would apreciate if you read more and type less , spreading mis-information is highly frowned upon

very true, and a fem which has no XY chrome may also have breeding advantages. As the male gene you breed into it will be the only Y in the game.

My single biggest concern about any breeding is the ethics of it all. Once they sell it is it mine? Not for anything but my personal use and to share with others. Not to sell.

Once you buy the seed, IMO its yours you paid for it...you own it. Now if you buy someones hard work and make copies to sell or pass around for free, you wont make many friends. Everyone got there seed from someone, so make seed so you dont need to buy them. Buy the best seed you see being grown and cross it to the second best seed you see being grown and you'll have something special to call your own.:thumbs:

Take it please from me... Cres could not be any more right! No matter how noble, or even with the best intentions... Not cool to copy seeds and give/sell as it cuts into the breeders bottom line.... :cough: lesson learned :cough: does not win friends at all
Though on the flip side, by copying seeds you buy and keep them to your self to me is the most important thing to do first (well grow one out first to even see if its worth the effort to keep) as that way you become self sustaining... Just even with three strains the crossing and learning amongst those three could take a life time... Ditch the dealer, support the breeder, and most important keep it GREEN!
I can not stress enough the warm fuzzy feeling you get inside when you no longer are dependent upon no one!

Also I know I've said it earlier you really need to be extra extra careful with pollen! Such a minuscule amount can seed a whole crop which If they are fem beans is a win win as you get to try out new bud that's never been grown before at this point its all bout the medicine! Also take a look into photos as photos an autos go perfect together if you have two grow areas..

I have no plans or desire to copy and seeds. That's just not fkn cool. I just want to create my little monsters and mutants and show them off in here with out getting attacked. We all know the nasty feeling we all get in the pit of our stomach when we place a order for seeds. I personally hate it.

@ Yoda. Juliet is my little pollen spreading bee. She has the patients that i don't. We keep the boys in a seperate grow box till they give up the goods. She asks what buds I want pollinated then she does her thing. We get 30 to 50 beans to share and play with.

Dude that is awesome! I have hard time controlling... That's why right now I will run the beans ( autos ) I got and concentrate on my photos... Having a good time with them and clones but they can become :beast: yea I was like a crack head let loose in the crack house when I found this site and the knowledge I learned... I've since been practicing chilling out I haven't run out of bud all year :thumbs: I got no worries cross your f1s and enjoy your new monster!

When should you use a F1.

1. The F1 shows a trait that is rare (like super potent)
2. Transferring two or more trait at the same time using a F1

When should you NOT use a F1

1. The trait or traits can easily be reproduced in the F2 generation

This is a good Breeding rule of thumb to go by. The 1/16 rule

If 1 out of 16 show the trait; then it can easily be reproduced.​
