Who want's to mentor me as a newbie to auto's, but not to growing, pretty please

ive been growing in canna coco pro plus past 10 plus years always sue vitalink nutes as tried all the others and always something amiss etc etc, never ever have issues with vitalink classic nutes and i just use grow, bloom and pk and rhizo starting off and just started using silicon for better a resistance to mold, which i've had a few times, anyway i know the basics been growing 20+ years constantly, just never with auto's. I alway ph 5.9 this being the sweet spot, i've used this for 10 years now with no problems.
I prefer to hand water even though i have everything to hand, new/boxed to do a complete dripper feed system etc just prefer the watering can, lift pot light, water, heavy don't, lol.

thanks for advice fella.

Listen to Blue bro she's a Master at this. and pick a grow journal that has similar starting equipment, copy them but with your own twist

Suggestions of feed strength please I’m abo

Jesus christ mate, i was stating i have experience with photoperiod plants and coco, but not with autos, read the post above yours!!
Bragging about what!!! i am stating facts, i have grown past 20 years, that is a fact.
I re-read your post and had taken it the wrong way initially, you just kicked off with no need for it, i am aware of the basics of how to grow but from what i have heard is that the nutrient strength is way different as is the lighting regime, there was just no need for your arsey response!
My other plants!! do you mean the flowering ones, nothing wrong with them cept the budded one which has had all sorts going on, change of lighting, length of lighting 12/12 to 24/7 to 18/6 back to 12/12, low temps, etc, etc, so not arsed about that plant tbh, the other two larger plants are ok.
I asked for help with auto's as i have no experience, i am aware coco is inert and has what you put into it to feed whatever you are growing, i cannot change the way you perceived what i wrote, but perception is everything!
I have never felt the need or bragged about anything in my life.
Sorry if you read into my post the wrong way not after starting a war, lol.
I am here to learn not argue, if you took umbrage at my post, then why not just ignore the post and not put off other peoples potential replies who may have gone onto reply, but having read your post without reading mine properly, just didn't bother.:nono:

I came online to delete my post .. I'm not a confrontational person, I was merely exasperated by your responses when you'd asked some pretty basic questions very much akin to a totally new grower, and then seemed rather dismissive from the kind responses left, and instead took the opportunity to relay your vast (and i mean that .. i've got less years behind me) experience.

I'm not a person who starts a fight, and don't enjoy any part of it.

I will delete my previous frustration, and allow other to chime in.

In the spirit of the good vibe of AFN, i apologise for getting uppity, and can only offer the advice that i've gleaned from growing in coco previously.

Keep the medium moist .. i found the sweetspot was 5.8 ...but 5.9, sure, and really swinging up the PH during flowering will also help nute availabilty.
Keep the medium fed .. less than 0.8EV for a seedling is no good and they will go pale and yellowand be slow (like the 9).

Other than that, use 1/2 nutes to start and keep an eye on the plants.

Edit: 1 more .. wet and dry cycles are far from ideal as the salts from the nutes build up and cause ph swings and lockouts. Watering drain wo waste is preferable if you can't keep the medium hydrated at all times (dripper or auto feeding style)

No more bad vibes from me on this .. I'll leave it to the active coco growers to chime in if they wish.

Lol brave

Lol, whats brave about it. i know exactly what is in the inert coco as i am feeding it unlike soil where the bugs like to breed, ool done soil 20 years ago never again, maybe living soil very soon.

Keep The Faith, Lol you opened a can of worms there mate, i'm well into my northern soul music and dancing.
uk420man

reread his last sentence bro, keep the faith and keep the positive vibes

ok sweet, i'm not confrontational either, i understand your point i am shit at writing that's often taken the wrong way,:bighug: so thanks for advice like the ph5.9, i swing 5.8-5.9, but mainly 5.9.
So i'll try 1.2ec and take it from there.:woohoo1:
Thanks again uk420man

So I am about to make up a feed any recommendations on strength please the seedlings are 4-5 days since germination thanks in advance folks uk420man

4-5 days they don’t need much, i’d be doing a full dose of kelp (I use GH BioRoot) and 1/2-1x CalMag. I start veg nutes at 1/4-1/2 strength starting the 10-14 day mark. Can you give more info about your germination method, specifically the lot of Meph that died off?

I have been growing coco for about a yr now with good results I feed coco every time I fergatate to at least 20% runoff...during the first couple weeks this may only be every couple days but when i do fergatate it always is to 20% runnof ph to 5.8-5.9...I add 30% perlite to help drainage but i know some don't use any.... a good place to start is adding 30-40% perlite to prevent possible over watering in coco which is very hard to do IMO but is possible

I start at 300 ppm (500 scale) and work my way to 600-700 ppm max... I start raising feed the ppm to max once the first true leave are about 1" long then feed full strength till harvest

Lol they just were shit I watered them after they germed wth paper towel method then fed them about a week in with veg nutes and rhizoctonic etc about 0.8 ec

Sounds to me like you need to forget the past 20 years as it’s not helping you grow autos and seems to hinder you from taking advice. Good luck in the future.
Man it’s basic stuff knowing how to grow with my choice of medium and nutes the rest I ain’t a clue about auto wise so what your saying is forget everything I know about temps rh etc lol oh come on that’s a bit sillly

Fetigate isn’t that foliar feeding!! How do you do this to 20% run off or am I misunderstanding the term fertigate!!
