Sour blues didn't stop growing .... well over a meter tall. Tallest auto i've had so far.
Lesson to the wise - Look into strain heights before sticking 2 in a small space. It's counter productive having 2 a wildly different heights with only one light to share between them.

Solution: get another light for the lower plant.

Thanks for stopping by :d5:

:pass:

I ran 2 Sour blues, dig a few pages back in Mephisto and you can see them. One was taller and bushier, the other short and squat. Both had very different aroumas. So even stain wise, there is quite a variation.

Everything looking great in there.

When we did our sour blues autumn run of 18 in auto pots they were probably the most even height out of the total 6 strains being ran, could be slight luck of the draw - but also coco hempy's will certainly bring out the differences in a more profound way :D

Thanks mitch :D - were they evenly tall by any chance? ... It's my bad for just assuming they'd be close to the size of the white triangle - which in my very limited experience of growing three of them, have been pretty consistant in size and structure!

Or just maybe a freaky tall one and luck of the draw - i guess you don't often get complaints that your autos are too big!? .... (i'm not complaining haha - just need more power!!)

Thanks roasty! :D

The "luxury" was me turning off the LED lights lol - i'm always unsure if they'll come back on

autopots have a res i guess, cant lift the plant to the light like a normal pot.i didnt think sour blues was one of the larger mephisto.ive had to break a plants neck in 3 places before.
plenty of bud sites,lookin good.
:pighug:

That's it Archie! :coffee2: can't raise them pots!
I'm done with breaking necks for this one - think its getting a bit late in the day for that - time to make lemonade and see how things turn out :D

Thanks for stopping by

Maybe 20cm difference between the 18, but they were very bushy overall in our setup, we did a lot of leaf tucking early on.
Cheers!

Another day ... another 4 inches  ..... Think i'll be running it on it's own next time!! :D
Currently about 2 feet taller than MWT :smokeit:

please stop stetching!!!! ^_^

EDIT:

Day 40ish i added a third biotab to the Sourblues .... Just a "gut feeling" really as it was large. not sure if necessary.

Day 52 Photos.

Sour Blues 1,3 meters.

White Triangle (it's down there somewhere) 70ish cm

Nice buds on everything - The sour blues should do especially well. I'm a bit frustrated i can't get more light to the White Triangle ..... hey ho!

Deficiencies
Calcium Deficiency all over (except the outter shaded parts)

@Waira ... here come's the science bit! :coffee:

So here's the deal ....

  • The soil is 6.2-6.5 ph
  • The water (store bought) is 6.2ph and dechlorinated
  • The Biotabs have everything a girl needs in them.

But.... but .... but .... "Mama ... i see problems!" .."oh no!' lol

university-specialist-girls-need-safe-spaces-be-able-do-science-r-b_0.jpg

So i got rusty leaves (not a euphamism)

This can mean one thing and one thing only (i think).

But ....
the-walking-dead-Rick.jpg

(howmanyplantshaveyoukilled howmanyweedshaveyoukilled)...WHY!?!?

Well I'm thinking that calcium is MOBILE element (amI rite!!) ... and mobility is brought on by ...... Transpiration (am i rite!?) ..... and with not only the low heat .... but also the low humidty (in a higher humidity i have a guess that the leaves will "wick" and "transpire" ... just a guess)

So higher heat (like that of a HPS) would solve the calcium problem (as i don't doubt for one second that Bitabs have the correct amount of everything in them) as the plants would transpire more, forcing the calcium (mobile element) to all the leaves as they transpire.

Am i rite??
I could be parping out my bum.

So there we go.

Long and Short of it is i have some nice looking plants that have been in quite low heat 65-75f with a constant 20% humidy ... but they're cal deficient and leaves are ugly. Nothing unusual in my tent.

(not worried) lol

Thanks for looking

Have you considered a foliar spray of Epson salts? Or would that not be appropriate for an organic grow?

It sounds like that is the ideal solution. (and no lol ... depsite having epson salts and a bottle, i honestly had not even considered it lol).
Next grow from about day 30 i'll get some at the ready!

It's a good tip. As i was debating whether i should add extra liquid cal to the rez ... but wasn't keen on the idea for a few reasons.

TAKE THAT!!

:thanks:
