Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

D
  • Day 14

Growth is just starting .... Training is ongoing but I do give them a rest every so often - These are shorter strains anyways and the lights should get good penetration in the first two foot anyways so thinking thru the grow perhaps I won’t train these as heavy as I did Sam in previous grow ...... Strawberry Nugs is coming along but still few more days for her to fill out starter pot ..... Here are a few pics ....

Gold Glue - She doesn’t like as much light as 24k - Some slight inward leaf curl on her - Adjusted slightly to reduce and will watch closely .....

24K - love the color on her - she bends easy compared to gold glue .....

  • I start in my final containers, but just as Tad recommends, I use a seed starter. What I do is leave a cavity in the center of the pot when I fill it with my soil mix. I then fill the cavity with a light starter mix, like Light Warrior from FF or Jiffy seed starter. I use a cavity size range between 1 quart to 1 gallon, with a half gallon being my favorite. With auto, I always have the best success starting seeds in seed starter. My soil is usually just a little too hot for seedlings. I also want my seeds to start in a soil (seed starter) that is super low in P (phosphorus), so that the mycorrizael fungi fully develop. Mycos won't do much in soil with lots of P.

Hey thanks Sinse, good to see you - check out this grow as soon the new light I have should come into play, I have a ELECTRIC SKY 180 and I gotta say I love it so far and like the fact I can use SUNGLASSES vs LED GLASSES - For these old eyes the color is Flippin GREAT and I hope the grow results are likewise....

Good info - helps avoid possible transplant shock .....

I hear Tad but I like to do my starts in a humidity dome and root maker starter pots, probably carried over from garden / tomatoes .... I think the rootmaker pots helps but certainly no side by side grows to compare, heck I’m only working on my third grow besides an outdoor that is different in many ways but the rootmakers for sure worked well with tomatoes and the outdoor girls, I had those in bigger rootmaker pots btw .....

When you replant do you simply placed seed X inches from old stem or do you scoop out and replace some soil with new starter and amend balance?

    Peace,
    MOB
