Mephisto Genetics White Crack and Kis Organics Soil

I used 1 3000k Cob in the small tent. In large tent I have a 3 to 1 ratio of 3000k to 6500k. Basically in a 4x4 space I do 4 to 5 cobs. 1 of them being a 6500k. I like the Blue for the whole grow to be honest. I have had some plants near the 6500k do just as good or better. But they get a mix of the 2 spectrums the whole time. I also have 2 QB96 lights for flower. Mostly Red spectrum and adjustable intensity. They are not on yet. Will wait about 5-7 days. So the WC Is flowering decently. They are strong lights for how small they are.
How many watts do you run your cobs at? I have also found that the results of mixing spectrums is the best. I veg with 4000k, and then move those to a sidelight position, and put 3500k overhead. I run them down low at 40 watts each. I have giant heatsinks so I can really crank them up if needed, but I typically don't. It seems like with cobs, if you turn them up too high, you have to move them far enough away, that the net gain for using more power is totally negated, at least in my space.
Loving that WC and your other girls!

Thanks, I appreciate the support. I can't take much credit, the soil is doing all of the work. I just add water. I have only given Calmag once and URB MICROBES 2 to 3 times. The first couple of weeks I added a splash of Orca, for Root development. The WC will need watering 2x per day soon. She is taking more water each day. I just watered all of them. They are all drinking more! WC took almost a whole gal. And the RDF and Diesel Cookies took 9 of the 9 oz cups each. When I watered them I noticed the Diesel Cookies Cob looked dim. Upon further inspection it had a bad connection and will need a new Chip. I don't have any extra lying around, but that's ok. I will turn on the QB96 lights I a few days. Until then I will just move one over and unplug the one with the bad connection. I will get a new Chip later. Will get 6500k. I have plenty 3000k. I will do the URB MICROBES watering on Fri and possibly turn on the bigger lights. That is my goal, but will have them on low. If they respond well I will turn up the power after 5-7 days. I have to just rearrange a few plants and Cobs before turning them on.

Also, I have a couple seedlings that popped up. 2 Sour Cracks. @MrOldBoy check this one out.... DOUBLE GRAPE x SAMSQUANCH OG!!! I have never seen anyone do one of them yet. The seed was the first out of those 3 to. Pop a tail. I will be starting another one tonight to soak, so we can see more than 1pheno... Maybe?! I will be trying 2 Sour Cracks in 1 Earthbox Junior. They are already above ground. So is the Double Grape x Samsquanch. I am sure it will go 9-11 weeks, so I definitely will start another tonight. If anyone has experience with it, let me know. I have done both plants individually, but not the Hybrid. I predict good things, I was pumped when I found them. I totally forgot about them, because they were freebies.
Double Grape x Samsquanch- you lucky dog!!! That sounds like a great mix!

I have my cobs at 55 Watts. I keep them pretty far away, you can. They are strong lights. You don't need or want them too close. If they get too close, you will get a Cal-Mag look to the leaves. For example I have a Photo plant and she is a Mammoth Beast. I have my Cobs at different levels for different sized plants. The side branch of the photo plant got within a foot of the lower Cob. The leaves exposed to the lower Cob developed Calmag spotting. Not the whole plant. Just the leaves exposed. Anyways, Cobs are like spotlights. You want them further away vs close up. I will get a new Chip later. I have plenty of lights.

I have accidently bleached out a leaf or 2 in my day. Sometimes they just grow so darn fast, ya forget to look up at the distance.
I run each cob on yoyo hangers so every plant gets the exact distance that its needs. It works super slick. Its nice to be able to have different height plants at different ages etc. Sounds like we both have the ultimate in flexibility dialed in.

COBS are like spot lights. thats an analogy that makes sense.
Yes, they are like spotlights. I have go move the one bad one out of the 4x8. That is possibly why the Diesel Cookies is not as thick of stems as the RDF? I didn't know that the one Cob by her was not working correctly until today. I have no idea how long it has been screwed up? Possibly the whole time she has been back there. That Cob is in the back corner of there Tent and I have many Cobs in the tent. So I didn't notice. But thinking back, I feel like it may have been Working poorly for a while. Oh well, I caught it now and will move some lights around.

I will turn on the QB96 lights this weekend. They are strong, and adjustable, so I will start low. I also like to stagger my lights. Because of the spotlight effect, I do not like my Cobs centered over the plants Colas. And I will say it over and over...some of the plants in the "shade" turn out best. I have a Sour Stomper in the shade. She is not huge, but she is Frosty as hell. The whole grow she has been on the outskirts of Cobs.

Yes I totally forgotten about that freebie! The seed was fast to get a tail. I will be starting another this morning, as I want to see if I get more than 1 pheno. I have enough room, so I will do 1 more. I don't know how long the strain will go? So I will plan on 10-11 weeks. I will also start a couple more Sour Crack. They are fast, so I can get a quick harvest I case the DGxSam OG goes 11-12 weeks. I am the only person with these Beans that is documenting it that I know of. But if you take the strains separate, they are both about 10 Week Strains. Being in Larger amounts of Soil they may go a week longer...so I guess 10-11 week total. I am starting my seeds and transplant around day 12. Give or take a day or two

Double Grape x Samsquanch -maybe large plant, could be interesting grow as well as the two in one, I like it.

I've been reading about organics for a while now, I'd really like to get to the point where I just use my well water without PH, EC, mixing, etc. Your journey pushed me over the edge. I snagged a couple EBJ's and some pre-made water only soil for a test run.

Getting it all situated and hydrated now.

Those EBJ's seem.... small. If there is 5 gallons in there I'd be surprised. Since I overbought the soil, I'm considering doing some sort of DIY 5 gallon bucket SIP thing.

Anyhow, thanks Slow. I'll be following along.
