Hello Guys and Ladies of this fine forum.

This is my First post here and i could really do with some of your experience regarding LED's.

I've been growing Photo's for a number of years now mainly outside in my greenhouse here in the UK. (North Wales) but having just bought a load of Fem Auto GDP and Fem Auto Blueberry Seeds for a change i need to buy new lights as i can no longer afford to run my HPS 600Watt and my 200Watt CFL has just about had it. (I have many health problems thats left me disabled and disability benefit is pretty crap).

I've been looking at a few LED Lights on fleebay and have come across these and wondered if any of you might have tried them or know of any that might fit my Very Small Buget of around £60 to £75.00 at a push.
I'm Not a Brand Name Junky so would prefer Quality over Name ie. SunSpect is looking more powerfull to me but what do i know lol....

SunSpect 340W is Actual power consumption: 154W±3%

Marshydro 300W is actual power consumption 129W+-5%

I have a 120x120x200 Grow Tent, Fan & Charcoal Filter, Hanger's Ect. and grow in Soil using BioBizz Neut's (Grow & Bloom).

I really need to get an LED Light ASAP as i've already sprouted a GDP in my tent and it's Growing pretty quick lol...

Many Thanks for any help you might have :thanks:

MarsHydro for the win ... lot of grows here on AFN done w/ Mars ...

Hi Chester
Many thanks for your input.
Having spent the last week reading on the AFN forum i did notice quite a few growers using the MarsHydro LED's but couldn't find any info or reason why other than it's a Brand Name.

Could you tell me why you think it's better than the SunSpect 340W LED Light even though the MarsHydro has got 8 Less LED's, Less Power and Cost's More £££?

If money wasn't a problem i doubt i would have asked such a question but being skint all the time i find i must question and compare Everything to get the best in quality and reliablity.

About the only good way to judge an LED is to look at the results that others have gotten w/ it ... the other LED could be better but generally if it was you would see numerous grows using it ... If I were looking for a reasonable priced LED and Mars Hydro was on my list I would look no further ...
:toke:

http://www.luminigrow.com/luminigrow450r1/, I only have experience with this light, my plants are growing in a healthy way. it's sharpe and everything seems high quality, and full controllibity, if you r not that into the control, you can take marshydro:pass:

You know one of these won't be enough to fill the tent though? Not a lover of the 5w models but Marshydro have a good reputation so i too would choose them over the other cheaper brands.

Hi Ram003
I've just been looking at the Luminigrow450 Led and thought WOW, Thats the one i want BUT then i saw the price tag on their website :dang: £899.00 is well and truly out of my budget range.

If i ever win the lottery then i might get a couple to use as side lighting but untill then i'll just have to dream about owning one of them :sadcry:
Thanks ever so much for pointing them out to me though as it is a bit of an eye opener as to how far this technology has advanced over just a few years :thanks:

Hi minime
I'm not really after filling my tent with plants at the moment as i was only thinking of growing one Auto at a time to fill the gap between my Photo grows when i run out of Med's. Plus i like to grow Really Hot Chilli Peppers when the tent isn't being used for my MJ  so one good light would be perfect if possible.

I've got a couple of 20Watt Led Lights (i think they have around 224 Red & Blue LED'S) that i already use as side lighting (£20 each Cheap Crap from HK) and they do actually make a big differance to firming up the nug's so i'm really only looking to cover one plant of around <2 foot square'ish with a New grow light although a bigger light area would be much better.

Many thanks for your help and advice

Well i've been having a read about other LED Light brands on AFN and a few other Forums and now have another brand of LED lights to add to my research and it is the VIPAR 300W LED Grow Light.

This light has 100x 3Watt LED's unlike the other 2 new units which use 5 Watt LED's and have less of them.

Most reviews about the MarsHydro 300 Watt kept saying to go for the older model with the 3 Watt LED's and so i'm wondering if they are better that the 5 Watt'ers?
I could only find Second Hand one's for Auction/Sale that had been used for Thousand's of Hours so that was a no go with the price still being that of a nearly new one.

The Viper also run's at 180 Watts ±3% Total Power unlike the MarsHydro 300 and the SunSpect 340W which are both lower by quite a bit which included less lumins.
And the Viper can cover an area of 3.5 x 3.0 foot compared to the Mars which is 2.0 x 2.0 Foot in Veg and in flower the Viper is also a bigger footprint, the SunSpect was inbetween the two.

I was really liking the look of the Mars but now i'm starting to think the Viper might just start snaking it's way into the lead.

My deadline that i set to buy a light is tomorow night (Friday 28th Aug.) so my brain is pretty messed up right now with all these figures and facts spinning around and my Auto Grandaddy Purple is now nearly 2 inch's tall

I have spent Hours upon Hours reading about LED Lights and am asking you all again.... Out of these 3 lights which would you go for if none of them had names and you had to go by the Spec's Only?

Thanks for you help and advise :thanks:
