What temp do you run the hotplate budelee?
Ive almost convinced my bud to try this!
I run the hotplate at around 150F i have a digital temp gun to check it,but sinve its a doible boil method, the pyrex is placed on mason jar lids to spaxe it at about 1/2 to3/4 off the pan, the eth usually never gets above 140 but it the electric hotplate has a wide"deadband" so it fluctuates a bit..i did post a youtube video( of another guy) on page four, its worth watching even tho he is using alcohol, its a good 11 minute video, this may also cover some tips that will help,my process isnt the only way,and i still learn things everyday,i di share all new tricks and tips with you guys though...any questions, just get hold of me...

If you have a hearing pad tey that,it should keep the temp at around 120F the lower the temp the more amber it wil be,ive had some really dark stuff from taking the temo to high, high temps also burn off the terpines

Thanks! I will watch the video again. You have a ton of information in the thread, i was being lazy. Im thinking my buddy may give up an ounce of buds for this. Maybe. When we talk about it i can see his mind working on how many bowls that oz would be he cant smoke. Lol, he is just old school, but its all good.

A pint wont take long at all, maybe 30-40 minutes, but this will depend on the depth of the liquid, thinner will evap quicker,,,,,i was just re-reading the previous post it said "hearing" pad,im such a goof...remember to chop not grind( the bud)..leave in freezer...plan ahead and work quickly..non bleached filters...last tip is if a fan is used dont point it at the pan,it will blow humidity/water into the eth/alcohol,colorado is notorious for having very low humidity so that works in my favor.pre wet your filters so the dry filter wont "soak " up a bunch of the oil( even if you have to use iso alcohol to do it)

to all you people that replied to my posts, thanks and some idea's I hadn't thought of.
I did use a heating pad but not for the first 2 days.
I did have a small fan blowing pointing at the bowl but set about 3 ft. away and only ran that during the day.
letting it go till tomorrow afternoon sometime.
kinda looks like a dried puddle of greenish sand.
@budelee ,well dude, thats just the way everything has gone this year, not one thing has gone right.
Oh, I tried tasting that moondust from the filters. tasted like shit and wouldn't get a fly high.
Don't know if that's an indication or what.
Thanks for help
oh and con grats.

No worries @oldcoot ,your process will get better the more you read and practice,,ya the moon dust doesnt have the best taste( reclaimed pipe tar/resin,now thats shit taste),its real planty, not sure if the difference is that mine comes from bud not trim,i would smoke it if thats all i had but thats why i have so much of it,havent really found a good edibles use for it.. Do a small bud only run washed one time and see if this changes the results,it wont have to be much,7 grams wouldnt return much but it might help dial in your process,i started with small amounts cause thats all i had..Old coot,go back to page 4 and watch the video, his method is precise and clear, even tho he's using iso..peace

Ok. Thanks again.
I think it was just to much ec to evaporate at a time.its what was left from a fifth after the washes.
About an inch deep of ec in the container.
Also this was just dried trim not decarbed
And also in the basement at 70° and 50% humidity .
Still dosent explain the green but your post about it being all beat up from dry sieving might be a clue too.
