New Grower What seeds to choose?

Promix HP is America and Ive just looked I cannot get it in the UK. Any other suggestions? I have used Black Magic soil in the past which I've found very good.

Plagron light is the UK equivilant

Cannot say I've heard of this COB?
Any reccomendation on lights would be brilliant, I do like the look of the ones I've mentioned based on the company seems legitimate, good reviews, reasonable price and a one year warranty (that in most cases I've read appears to be honoured). Although I'm open to anything else.

I couldn't buy a Mars, pay £100+ and it breaks. Id never hear the end of it from my missus.

Don't want to break the bank but at the same time I want some quality. I've just cropped my second Pheno that's ready tomorrow for curing, with the heat issues etc I had the buds have shrunk a lot due to light loss while growing to help ventilation (long story I'd rather forget about haha).

So I need something a 4 inch inline fan/Carbon filter can deal with easy. I can add temperature easier than remove it under the circumstances I'm in..

What would people think if I put a 12' fan hanging in the tent for airflow, is that too overkill for a small size or go with 2 smaller fans?

Any tips I need to know with germination stage of auto flowering as I'm waiting on my seeds then cracking on

Cheers!

I've ordered a 50L bag at good price.

Got a few 30ml advanced nutrients as suggested here on the way and seeds en route. Got a tent sorted, CB, fan need decide on and lights also.

Then we are off

So you know I went with Mephisto Walter White (x 3) and also got (x2) Diesel Auto by Royal Queen Seeds

Great choice on the mephisto seeds. The auto cob setup from cob shop is what I would do as you can buy more and build on the set up. They're like $125 us for one however one is about as bright as my Mars for half the power. I couldn't comment on the fan size, my tent stays open with a box fan blowing in. But back to the lights. If you could swing the money for two you'd be golden.

Top man thank you. These cob lights look fantastic. I've found a 600w (6light holes) for 120£ delivered (about 150 dollars) which is £40 more than the normal LED I've mentioned here. HOWEVER, I need more assurance and research on it as it's been reduced from £500 to £120.. Which suggests to me they ain't that good...however it's still to be seen

Here are the specifications ;

Would this be too big and powerful for a 80x80x160cm(1.3m2) tent?

Extraction will go in to tent in a couple of weeks anyway it's not a problem at the beginning and I like to give the plants as much fresh air as possible to start.

Is it good to germinate the seeds in the pots they will finish in, or a small pot to start with? I like to put them in the window when it's sunny to germinate them give them the best light possible! Or is that not a good idea?

ALSO...(F**KING LOADS I NEED TO KNOW LOL) what can I do to keep the plants short because I don't have a lot of room... As I'm a bit of a novice, my first plant was about 80cm tall and the second (same strain) got to about 170cm tall and I don't know why, although I think it was a sativa pheno but I wasn't complaining!

Any tips to keep short and maximise yields?

Appreciate the help and guidance guys as I have no where else to ask but want to give it a go.
Thanks!

The light you mentioned honestly sounds like the Mars. And to be honest I have no idea WTF to make of their wattage ratings, 2700 watts? It seems their full of shit on wattage. Even in half that's more than most led companies panels. Makes me feel uneasy about them. Even if you could only go with one, I'd still go autocob. Like I said you can build upon it and add more. But that panel could also kick ass and nobody knows. But for the sure thing, I'd go auto cob. But as far as height. Have you thought about lst? Be gentle bending them down and they'll bush out. You can also top, theirs a few that have on the forums. Germinating in the final pot is great, the best actually. I'm just ocd and need to know if it pops so I use the paper towel method

To be fair my friend you've made my decision much easier so I thank you very much. Whichever lights I pick I am sure both will perform well.

The next few days will be interesting, yesterday I took my final harvest from my latest photo period plant and have got rid of the big tent (hurray!) so a smaller one and better equipment will be going in this week

Plan to start before 8th of June

I've gone with 2 VISPRASPECTRE UFO 225W LEDS. Beans have arrived today.

Preparing soil;

Do I make a feed mixture of roots accelerator, fish bone blood mix and what? Do I pour it over my soil and then put the germinated seed into it?
How much should I do?
Should I only use this soil? No clay balls, pertile, coco etc?

What's the best way to start the plants life? As mentioned before if it's sunny I like to let them grow first leaves under daylight then grow lights.... Cheers!!
