New Grower What seeds to choose?

Just pure water, no nutrients or (what I'd call) a feed poured over the soil once then letting it dry a bit? then putting the seeds straight in.

Think I'll add some pertile it's cheap and most people seem to use it.

Going to go for LST with it but never tried it before. Any tips? Learned enough to try it though

Also: what distances should I keep my LED from the plant at different stages? going to try and contain it to 100cm maximum

Thanks again Rusty much appreciated pal!

Yep seed in about one knuckle (finger digit) deep and, once germinated just h2o for 10 days then a extremely light feed. For lst, anchor the base to allow no movement of it to disturb the roots, however never wrap around the base like belt, always just cradling it. Same for all branches. Once to a certain size (roots coming out the bottom) I remove the anchor to prevent it growing into it. Go very slowly day by day bending them down. Apical first. Most of my plants stay below 15". I keep my light about 15" away. If it seems under powered go for 12". Sorry batteries dying on my phone so I can't convert to cm for you lol

Right I'm setting my tent up, lights have come and look brilliant. Ready to go today.

Watering; how much water in liters should I give and how often in a week?

When they're young I just keep the soil fairly saturated, giving as needed. As they mature, about 4 internodes, I check both the weight of the pot as well as the knuckle test. If it passes the weight but not the knuckle, a light watering. Fails both, heavy water. But just use your discretion and you'll find what she likes. When I feed I typically do so in 2 liter increment for a heavy, and 1 liter for a light. When little about 250ml at first then I move very quickly to a liter. With autos, and any non gmo seed plant each are as unique as you and I, so schedules for both feed and water vary drastically. I've had girls that drink like a fish in the sea and I've had some anorexic girls too. Some made a little some made alot. All smoked great :D

Don't go with Autoseeds. I had 1 of 5 germinate and nobody gets back to you nor cares. Too much money wasted for results like I realized.

Mephisto seem decent and I'm germinating 2 WW and 2 Diesel tonight. Will let you know how I go on.

I got 5 Barney's Crimea Blue, 2 germinated and the 3 free ones which only one germinated then died last time, all photoperiod.

I think germination success depends on how you do it and constant temperature is key to getting loads spouting imo.

I'll follow your advice Rusty, that's what I've done in the past but this is my first auto flower grow.

I'll figure out how to upload pictures and get a journal on, about 5 months slow preparation and research will be going into this!!

Ahh, you mean autoseeds the breeder sorry thought you mean auto flower seeds don't germinate generally!!

Update;

2 Mephisto, as expected, germinated and on their way.

1 diesel (freebie), as expected, didn't.

I.have a great set up I am confident in that is near silent. The heat difference between and LED and HPS in unbelievable.

Will update as I go
