NEWS What are the charges for illegal grows canada

So in an effort to make the monopoly even sweeter.
All the gov't have to do is quadruple the price of seeds. Kinna like they did when we could start making our own beer.
I don't recall seeing any provision s in the Canadian cannabis law that prohibits me from cloning my NOW legal seeds.
Their latest trick is making seeds very difficult in obtaining.
One more hoop to jump through.
One of the admins may want to delete this post. In fear of giving some bone head at the gov't ideas:finger:

So when I do the math on my 75 legal limit.
At $15 per seed, it works out be 1293.75
Including taxes( of fucking course).
I'm sure wiser people than me have figured this one out at the gov't.

So to stay legit get 2 seeds and grow y'ur own.
Hey Frog, I'm going to Toronto next week.
Want me to pick you up a pack of seeds?

Thanks but I've got more then a year in advance seedwise...and i do make my own beer! No taxes on those either! :muahaha:

I don't know what the deal is with the OCS. They couldn't tell me when their seed selection would improve. I complained to the ombudsman, but they're already swamped with irate OCS customers.
I'm assuming it's much more profitable for the OCS to focus on buds, where they have a lot of selection. The licensed producers could easily be cranking out thousands of seeds for home growers, they just don't care for the usual reasons.

Does anyone know or has heard of anyone getting busting for growing ilicit seeds since being legal to grow?
I myself have not heard of 1.

As ridiculous as the facts are.
The information obtained is still very good to know.
Because those of us with a med license can grow beyond the 4 in Canada.
Come to think of it.
Even growing 4 requires buying seed from the gov't.
Or, they can nab you on a technicality.
As a medical grower you should be aware that you can buy clones of various strains through all the breeders listed in your HC docs.

I would be very surprised if there was even one.
They're not enforcing the regs because they can't... and they are clearly ok with the black market filling the seed void.
The seed regs are broken, they have to change.

...I guess they could nail you for illicit seed if it was part of a larger bust and you had a seed stash that was clearly illicit... or if customs intercepted your cross-border seed order. As far as plants go, they would need a genetic test to prove what your growing isn't Tweeds argyle, not going to happen.

I read an article awhile back about the situation in Florida where hemp was made legal? Anyways, law enforcement was in a bind because they could no longer tell the difference between a hemp bud and a thc containing bud without an getting an out of state test. Possessing a bud was no longer grounds for an arrest.

I read something similar like that I'm not sure which state but they let out 230 something people that had minor possession charges
