NEWS What are the charges for illegal grows canada

Hard to find info on it now but seeds were always illegal if they were viable lol

"In 1987, there was enacted an addition to the Canadian Narcotic Control Act concerning the prohibition of "Cannabis sativa, its preparations, & derivatives". This addition exempted "non-viable cannabis seed" from the Act."
So then have seed banks in Canada been operating in grey areas or illegally? I'm curious since most growers, new and experienced are sourcing their seeds from them, myself included.

Not hard to understand,If you didn't buy from a federally-licensed producer its illegal no matter what in the eyes of the law :nono::rofl:

What is legal as of October 17, 2018

Subject to provincial or territorial restrictions, adults who are 18 years of age or older are legally able to:

  • possess up to 30 grams of legal cannabis, dried or equivalent in non-dried form in public
  • share up to 30 grams of legal cannabis with other adults
  • buy dried or fresh cannabis and cannabis oil from a provincially-licensed retailer
    • in provinces and territories without a regulated retail framework, individuals are able to purchase cannabis online from federally-licensed producers
  • grow, from licensed seed or seedlings, up to 4 cannabis plants per residence for personal use
  • make cannabis products, such as food and drinks, at home as long as organic solvents are not used to create concentrated products

Look at the old case of Marc Emery lol If it was legal to sell seeds in canada he couldn't and wouldn't have been extradited under law

So in the end then, my growing habits shouldn't change! Good thing I live in the middle of nowhere! [emoji106]

Ultimately, these laws weren't put in place to stop growers like myself, growing a few plants for personal use, no matter what the source. They want the big guys. Since the LPs that are offering seeds and clones are doing so at insanely high prices, I won't be changing my habits any time soon and neither will most. Not to mention that I wouldn't trust the genetics offered by most LPs.

$60 for 4 seeds and only 1 strain available:crying::crying::crying::crying:

"Bakerstreet from Tweed is a greenhouse-grown indica-dominant strain with very strong THC potency. Its dense, deep green buds are highlighted with orange-hued pistils and covered with trichomes, and the terpinolene in its terpene profile gives it a juniper scent. It’s available in various dried flower sizes."

The Baker street has gone down in thc use to be strong cheap weed but not now I don't think I've tried it when it read l was 6 dollar strain and had 20 plus thc

Hopefully someone will step up and share there experiences and skill ! I'd love to test autoflower strains in a greenhouse environment this year VS photos from past seasons !

Grew out suger black rose last year with decent results indoors wished I'd of saved a seed or 2 for this years spring start .
