Live Stoner Chat WE ARE NOT ALONE!

You know, for a person that was born pretty much the same time man space travel has existed:face::haha:, our knowledge of 'the world' really has changed quite considerably!
You know, it really is a crying shame that children growing up today don't fully utilize what they have in their bedroom, a laptop and the Internet. I would have loved to have that amount of resources at my fingertips when I was a kid! All the hours in the library! L O L!

Getting back on topic, sorta. We all know it's kind of egotistical to think that we are the only intelligent life in existence. We all know it takes quite a considerable amount of time for intelligent life to evolve. It's also pretty reasonable to assume that those long term stable conditions are not that frequent. But given the immenseness of the universe, that means there are and have been Equally immense number of possible sources of intelligent life. Also given the vastness of the universe, then it's equally as logical to assume that the distances are quite vast between them.

It is also quite evident that any intelligent life that is capable of traveling those vast distances have solved the problem of traveling those distances without any sort of time differential with their home planet. In the same vein, they must have also solved how to communicate over those vast distances. One can only assume that they would be based on similar theory and technology................ well in their case, fact.

Sooooooooooooooo............................. If we have been given technology to communicate with our "Giftors", If our simple underutilized brains can grasp the concept, then we should be able to figure out how to travel those fast distances. At least conceptually!

@Mossy

Yeah Auntie.................... I'm on the Sati this morning! I did curb the hell out of this post though! I had thoughts going into figuring out the oldest possible intelligent life. From as massive and as short-lived as the first Blue Giants would have been to how long it took to form stable universes.

Quantum Tunneling Communications?

US? :funny::funny::funny::funny::funny::funny::funny::funny:

Naaaaaaaaa! Absolutely no way that we could build such technology.

Teleportation was perfected in the 60's and I have a hunch that the "folk" over at CERN are working on this Quantum Tunnelling/portal technology. Star Gates exist and are a thing but in terms of inter galactic travel my guess is you're looking at some type of hybrid inter dimensional travel, bending the fabric of time, travelling through its base rather than the crests.

Well, let's just say in movie or TV terms, intergalactic travel is probably somewhere between Star Trek's warp engines and SG1 hyperdrive engines. I think the biggest point that needs to be made is that there really can't be any time differential but between the travelers and their home planet. There's just no way to hold a society together where a time differential would exist.

I totally agree brother :thumbsup: :bighug:

Just remember everything is the here and now.

Time is like watching the internet EVERYTHING is available now. No need to wait all you have to do is go there, everywhere all the time. How do I go from AFN to watching Dobie Giles well by freedom of choice. Free Will

I see Bashar said the Earth is splitting already.

I had a cool thought to tell you guys about but I got sidetracked reading the last few posts and watching the video. I'll come back with it when it returns to my head.
