I wouldn't chop that. So many white hairs and so much healthy green... She's just packin' it on in a big way. Foxtailing is not necessarily a bad thing.
I harvested the la diva to make some room in my tent. I will upload some pictures of her without her leaves later today. The purple ryder runt that I havested gave me 22 grams dry of some nice earthy smoke.
I just started the cure of the la diva so I don't have a dry weight yet. I do have this picture of her buds though.
looking great..dumb question~and im sorry for hyjacking~but what is foxtailing? new growth on a bud? ive just never heard that term, but ive just been growing for a couple months., but gosh if my la diva turn out like that once i grow them, ill be one happy guy!
Hey growbewan, no worries man it's a valid question. Foxtailing is new growth brought on by stress or nutrient issues in late flower. Many things can trigger it, but in my case it was the heat. The growth is not what you typically see in normal formation. Foxtails grow almost like a single file line of calyxes. One on top of the other and so on. In the end it they will look like little ropes sticking out of the bud. The main bud will stop swelling because the energy is being spent on this new growth. Sometimes it is just in the geneics of the plant too. It does not effect the potency or taste, just yield and bag appeal (matter of opinion).
wow, well thanks alot for that insight..if it happened to me, i wouldve never know , just wouldve thought it was normal. now i know, and i can thank you for that, thanks man!
