:smoking: Oh, I go beyond what the basics info says if I can, and I take what the descriptions say with the same grain of salt as the rest of the offered info about it!Only problem with going with wat the breeder said isn't a good idea especially bc if u think about it how many of those plants were grown ever for example ghost train haze from rare dankness after years of growing it he found a new pheno that was 6%cbd which wasn't bread for that and who knows how often things like that happen within a genetic. Also I've noticed lots of pheno variations which I think plays a huge role in pest, mold tolerance and with the technology we have I think it should be easy to get genetics that have 2 phenos but that's not wat I've been seeing from supposedly great breeders not that there isn't good breeders out but there aren't as many as people think not that the other breeders don't have good quality genetics bc they do just not as repeatable and outdoors I really think it helps having strains that u can predict bc there are enuff problems growing outdoors in crappie climates. Anyways did you happen to mention the breeder of the mimosa? I've had mimosa a few times nice tasting and uplifting smoke, They look super healthy and happy sending good vibes and karma ur way.
For instance, I ask Dinafem/HSO Mark, or Mr.B (Female seeds) to actually inquire best they can more directly,... Seedstocker Mischa and the Sweet guys too...
Even then, things don't always go as expected for reasons you state as well. Last year the supposed OD grown mold resistant Gorilla Breath was to be a solid choice, turned out to be anything but! I was waved off several other choices too, and offered other "good" ones.... those are TBD yet... but the GB was a real PITA to deal with, only thing that really saved her was her very unexpected speed. The season was actually pretty good weather-wise, but it was a daily fight to salvage that plant! She finished bloom in just over 5 weeks ... Excellent cultivar, I do recommend her in general, but my girl, pheno' related or not, was NOT mold resistant... Female Skunk Special was a dream girl: resistant, fast, trouble free and some of the nicest aromatics/flavor I've had to date -All exactly as described....
Mimosa is one parent, Champagne Kush the other, and it's a Female cultivar... The SeedFinders website has more specific info on them... So far Female has been one of the best performing breeders I've run to date - ....Interesting company, read up on them sometime... Long before auto's were a "thing", they were tinkering with them and other ruderalis variants in their breeding programs to help speed up certain cultivars in order to make them viable choices to grow in that horrid norther EU climate... Several of their fully photo' cultivars have a certain % auto/rudi' in them; not true F1 fast versions like Sweet has (still the best at that IMO), but enough to cut weeks off the bloom time and lend resistance to fungal attacks....
BC luv! Ahh yeah, this grow so far has been just silly easy, luxurious even,...Awesome group @Waira ! Looks like zero issues thus far. Does RM really smell/taste of Mandarine? It’s a friends favorite taste/smell for weed and I would consider growing it for her. Seems it is hit or miss with many of the orange strains.
RM is supposed to have orange dominant aromatics, blue cypress notes too,... but of the lot, her smell is strongest in veg' and the stem rub was very promising! There's a lot of Tangie in her, so we shall see,... You'll know in a couple months or so! Look into the newer Tropicana crosses Sweet has, one of the F1FV Tropicana Poison is apparently a real tire smoker for speed, unlike this RM which isn't fast really, going by what Sweet says,... and there's no parent plant to cross-compare with in this case.... Last year that damn Orange Juice, all Tangie, was a flop in that regard ... smoke was good at least, generic non-descript aroma though.... That pissed me off, gotta say, even knowing there's no guarantee,...but with a long established/worked cultivar like Tangie, I expected better...
