I'm back to growing, woohoo, this time with some science! I work for an Extension Service of a University and was sent to the West Coast's largest Nursery trade show and received a crap ton of samples to try. Have samples, will grow weed LOL.

Specifications - 5'x5'x7' tent, Amare Technologies SE450 - veg LEDs only, flower LEDs/COBs/& UV features.
Substrate - Coco Loco with added worm castings
Seeds - Mephisto Genetics Double Grape x2, Mephisto Genetics Strawberry Nuggets, Mephisto Genetics Bubbly Livers, Medical Marijuana Genetics Candida CD-1, & a Mumbling Dragon in each pot.
Pot size - 3 gal fabric pots except duplicate Double Grape/Mumbling Dragon is in a 2 gal fabric pot.

@AutoWonders Mumbling Dragon is an Autoflower Portal regular auto strain. It was going extinct due to old seed/poor germination rates. I was able to do 2 seed runs with the second being more successful and will return the seeds to the breeder for sale. I have seen 3 phenotypes but because I was running for seed I didn’t bother testing the benefits of the green vs red vs royal purple (I did save remnants of the buds after seed harvest & will pull them from the freezer for a hash wash at some point). Now that I have germ tested my production (& the wife told me to not toss the testers, bigger heart than I have LOL) I can now save the females for bud & toss the males at sex. The rest of the germ testers are being gifted to local friends that grow.
@Dudeski I look forward to seeing what it can do. I had to seive work’s many bags of it because my supervisor wants to experiment with particle size. I looked like a coal miner for many days even with using a shaker machine LOL.

Double Grape 2 is much larger than Double Grape 1, both have the same Day 1. I may have 2 different phenotypes -or- <1mm Biochar is already making the difference. No nutes yet, just getting nutrition from worm castings & N-fixing bacteria.

I have read some really good things about it and it doesn't take much per container. Do you precharge it?

I didn’t precharge it but I’m using N-fixing bacteria & mycos in my coco so it will eventually end up charges with beneficial. After harvest I will probably reuse the coco & continue building the mixes up.

I think it gets better with age. Wish I could remember which brand I bought.
