New Grower Vegasbear's Noob Growing Adventures

Try your best to resist the urge to peek. I have done that a few times and have disturbed the plant just when it wanted to sprout. I once had a stubborn seed sprout after seven days, right next to a two day old seedling that I planted thinking the first one was a dud!

I predict you will be smoking your own grown weed in just a few short weeks, and it will be some of the best you ever smoked!

I can see it peeking out from the chunk of rooter plug that it pushed out of its hole, and I am resisting even looking at it sideways hoping it pushes that piece of plug off and spreads its wings!

Got me a little half-gallon garden mister to mist my soil as the spray bottle was aggravating the heck out of me trying to spray at a downward angle.

First Grow - Day 3 - HG WW x California Snow Auto
All four are up, and they've got new leaves already!!

Even the straggler seems to be racing and has caught up with the other three.

Are these two baby serrated leaves the first "node"?

My tent is holding steady at 82F and dropped to 45% humidity, so i installed an ultrasonic humidifier today set to automatically maintain 70%RH.

Coco was dried out and the RR plugs were turning light so I watered 40ml around each seedling and then misted the soil at the edges of the pot to dampen it. I was away from town in Utah today and the better half didn't know if he should touch them so he didn't water. Oops! I hung a checklist on a white erase board so he can just look (I frequently burn 16hr shifts back to back) and showed him how to water them 32ml 2-3x daily for now.

I have two small fans in there and I'll be putting a small oscillating tower fan in there tomorrow as soon as it arrives. I read that I shouldn't blow directly onto the plants at this stage, is that right? So i should angle it into a corner or something?

I just realized..

My thermometer/hygrometer probably needs to be somewhere other than on the floor between my four pots right under the lights..

Now I feel stupid but I'm not sure exactly where to put it.

Nice setup with a lot of thought put in it. 4 seedlings are opportunities to find what works....and what doesn't. ...your biggest problem now is gonna be picking out a guinea pig.
In my bloom tent, I attached my hydrometer/thermo to my tent wall at canopy level...adjust as needed. Also put a probe for temp/humidity fan control in the charcoal filter sock reading air as it exhaust. Calibrate the two and you'll be set for lots more time on your hands for other stuff.

I have two picked out that I want to try topping at the fourth node but am really nervous trying it, and I will learn myself how to lst only on the other two.

There's a lot of info here on afn concerning lst, fimming, topping. I've always "adjusted" the growth of photos but just started attempting to "sway" an autos efforts to live to become ash in my bong.
Its gonna take about 3 weeks for your plants to attain the structure it needs to continue on a different growth plane. I fim/top at 4th node, lst at about 2-3 weeks. ATM I have a fastbuds blackberry doing lst and a dinafem white widow xxl topped and 3 gelatos doing various dances.
All display typical style characteristics and I like how adjusting changes the overall structure of the flowers. Makes adjusting lights easier.
Actually, since I pretty much have my tent temp/hum stuff on automatic 95% of the time, I needed something to do.

Lovely set up M8.. you're gonna grow some seriously big plants with those 2 lights in there.. I've seen 1 in action personally and the results were amazing.. subbed for this :pop: :jointman:

Morning watering done, all four seem pretty happy. The lights just came on for the day, hoping that the straggler (back right) and its brother to the left perk up, as they went a bit droopy during the 6hr dark cycle.
