Hello everyone.....recently I have had a bad run with some other breeders genetics...tchk!....got me all jangled in the membrane about my growin skillz.....so, what I am goin to do, is take the advice of my buddy @St. Tom and go back to what I know. I am in the process of growing my back catalogue and I have more than a few Mephisto, always had success with them before and they are top shelf weed.....going to be giving Buddhas Tree another go, but with their coco A+B, not the Organicus99....small pots, just 2 ltr with Ecothrive coco....ok lets do this......

May I ask what the problems that you have been having? I would be happy to help you out if you give me some information. I see you are using small pots of Coco. I prefer small pots for Coco as well, but you must keep them hydrated, even once too dry can effect your plant. Once I know your problem I can give you some advice. Have you done Forgotten Strawberries? Strawberry Nuggets is not a strain I would mail line. But maybe Forgotten Cookies would do ok. Just be aware that if you get the Strawberry Nuggets pheno that many BOG plants prefer minimal stress. You get a highly Indica pheno, you might not want to mainline it. The stress can. Greatly reduce your yield and or extend total grow time. I had a Sour Bubble foe a decade from BOG. Great pheno if you didnt stress it out. Excessive trimming and Root Bounding would greatly effect that plant. LikeI said, I have not done Forgotten Strawberries. But Knowing the BOG background I would personally shy away from mainlining unless you have experience with that strain. Just curious, did you mainline the previous plants that you have had troubles with? Good luck, I will be following. Peacez slowandeasy

Hello dude, yeah I have had troubles with 3 Zamnesia Northern Lights(supposedly)Auto's....all mainlined, 1 I culled yesterday....I will prolly cull another tomorrow, it is 73 days old and not even one trich......the third will yield just fluff, I think....I am going back to smaller pots for a while, I personally prefer to feed every day, if possible, so the plants experience each weekly set of nutes as much as possible.....I can't remember if I have grown Forgotten Strawberries before(?)....but I mainline all my plants.....no exception dude

i love Mephisto strains fast-finishing strong strains hopefully you will have a bit of luck with these :headbang: but i do tend to agree about the mainlining i think they could be slowing you down so maybe do it to one and leave the other for comparison i mean i top every girl if she's healthy am just thinking you want a harvest as fast as possible it may help and i have seen your girls that have been showstoppers and tortured to fuck :bighug::smoking:

Please don't take this the wrong way, but mainlining is not for every Strain. It is highly stressful and with many Autos it is not worth the added time to the total grow time. You can't have a "no exceptions" attitude and expect excellent results from certain Auto strains. Some strains won't like it, period. And I can guess that mainlining is why you had poor results in the first place. It is highly stressful.

Personally I think mainlining any Auto is a waste of time. If your plant does okay with it, it will take 100 days to finish. Same plant with minimal Intervention would be done 40 days sooner. I would Find a photo strain that likes bondage clone it and you won't waste your time experimenting with manlinling Autos. Stress on somw Autos can effect the plant and it will be doomed. No matter how well you take care of it. Good luck, peace slowandeasy

Hey buddy, I am glad to see that you have an open mind. Your skills are not why you had bad results IMO. Trust me, some Auto strains just don't like the high stress training. I remember when people freaked out about topping Autos. Most Autos take topping ok. But mainlining is much more aggressive and stressful. You could be the best grower around, and it would not matter. Once many Autos are stressed too much, they shut down normal growth, take forever to flower, or yield poorly. A general rule of thumb is that most highly Indica strains don't do well with too much pruining. For example a 24 Carat or Sour Crack are highly Indica. They finish so fast that they prefer less stressful conditions. leaf tucking and minor LST is about the most you want to do on most true Indica strains. You would probably have better luck using a large aggressive growing
Hybrid. So Strawberry Nuggets is not a great choice, as it is Indica based and BOG background as well. I personally like to grow Autos with minimal training the first time I grow an Auto strain. This tells you what the plant does on its own. Then you know the natural structure in your personal garden. I will do light pruining, leaf tucking, and light LST. But I personally avoid topping the first time I grow a strain. Just keep the main Cola decently level. Then you have a baseline idea of what it looks like, how fast it finishes, and what it yields normally.

Sometimes training can extend the total grow time by exposing more future budsites. Mainlining is a great technique for some strains. But for some strains, it can literally shut the plant down. It might not flower correctly. And that is not your intension, but it can happen and you can't reverse the effects. If you really like to mainline plants, just be fully aware of the plants genetics. The problem with Autos vs Photo is that each plant is different and you can't clone Autos like Photos. If you find a Photo pheno that mainlines well, you can clone it and keep it. It is Very hard to replicate Auto grows, unless it is a refined strain. Good luck brother, I will be following. Peace slowandeasy

Just curious, is mainlining cutting at 4th node? I got stoned read a post and cut my gig at 4th node and it didn't like it at all. coming around now but stopped growing for 5 days.
